VBS Script warning: "Machine 'afm_113b' (Attack From Mars (1.13b/s1.1)) terminated before initialized, check the rom path or rom file!"

I get the warning every time I boot up the game either from Visual Pinball.exe or from the table itself from the table folder.

However, I get sent to the play screen, regardless, the pinball machine looks and sounds right, all three of my nodges work, but that is it. Hit 'start game' and I hear coin sounds, flippers are not responding, and non of my configurations to the control setting are loaded.

My spec: I am on Windows 10 with a solid graphics card, 16gb ram, and an I7 CPU, and I haven't downloaded the Win7 Visual Framework from the tutorial because Youtube does not like them on my computer.

You should check what the error says, if the rom is present and intact, the VPinMame is updated and set.

I did. I tried having it zipped and unzipped, swapping to an older version of the ROM. Also, I made sure my copy of Virtual Pinball is 10.7.3 because this particular Attack From Mars vpx uses 10.7

Another thing I noticed, I am missing the mission screen, the one with "start game!" and turrets mini game, which is suppose to be at the side of the pinball board.

The ROMs should be left zipped, they should usually be placed in the appropriate "Roms" folder.

To check their integrity, launch the VPinMame setup, press test and search for the name of the ROM in the list, and press the check roms button.

If the rom doesn't start usually all the lights are off, and the DMD is not visible.

Thank you. I can play the game now!

There are two adjustments I did, either one might have been the fix.

1) The rom 1.13b was missing and I was using 1.13. The warning for the missing 1.13b did not always pop up, so therefore I ignored it for a long time.

2) Putting the rom in both the rom folder and the nvram folder.

It was your first adjustment that fixed it.

Roms only go in your roms folder,
