I had Red and Ted's Road Show on a machine I bought. It had a very slow computer. Then I built my own machine and transfered all my favorite tables over. I used Baller Installer. (March 2023).

All the games came out fine, but Red and Ted's Road Show has the characters voices very low and the effects volume regular. I can't hear what they say.

I deleted my game and re-downloaded Red and Ted off the forums with the right ROM...same thing, quiet voices.

What's up?

(It's one of my favorite games, top 3)

Try opening the coin door (by press 'end' key on keyboard) then pressing 7,8,9 I forget which) and see if you see a volume level indicator go up/down.  These settings are saved under vPinMAME/nvram directory.

If I download a rom, i always check within vpinmame if the rom contains all files.
It happen a lot that the sounds binaries are missing (but, most on vpu are correct)

SOLVED!!!! That was it. Hit "END" on the keyboard, then key "9" turned up the game volume from 10 to 30! Thank you! -Nate

Lol, isnt that the first thing yoy check when audio is low ? :drinks:
Note : for most tables, do not set audio above 22 (or 24 or something), as the sound will get over modulated (i hope this is the right word).
Just experiment with this

Oh really?

Star Trek -  The Next Generation

would be a good table to test the fix on. Anything over 24 volume had major distortion. Very strange.

So, do we try to to an "overlay update" of VPinMame sub-system to get v3.6 on there, or so we just wait for

VPX v10.7.3 or v10.7.4 Full installer ?

Just download the pre-release from the official project site:

https://github.com/v...inmame/releases

It is stable.
