Hey guys, I have 3 machines going. My original machine had Pinbot but it said "Factory Settings" on the DMD screen and didn't play.  On my next machine, fresh install, I downloaded Jack and Pin myself and got the correct rom files....but they do the same thing. I get a coin sound, and even a ball loading sound, but the game doesn't play. I get a backglass on Jackbot, none on Pinbot.

My dream is to have JACKBOT, PINBOT, and Bride of Pinbot in my collection. So far, Bride is the only one working.

Am I a fool to have such dreams?

Usually just restart the table, not always the first time the table works.

There are some versions for both tables that doesn't exit the table correctly.
This causes that the nvram isn't written correctly and will be in a loop with "factory settings"

Do I need to find the NV file and edit it myself? or is it a script I edit? I have tried restarting it many times.

Rom settings and Highscore are saved in NV file.
Placed in pinmame\nv folder. It's not editable, and almost every Rom (depends which manufacturer, system, ...) use another format or bit pattern in his NV file.
You can delete the NV file, after this the Rom starts with default settings.

Its the script part of the table. The exit sub should be once in the script and should a controller.stop command.
After this the nvram will be saved correctly

NV file doesn't has anything to do with screen position.

Did you check the scripting part if table exit sub is 2 times in the script ?
