Hi everyone, I am knee deep in a Williams Wide Body visual pinball build.  I started this project around 2015 when I bought a Ultimate Cab Builders Kit from this site.  Many helpful online tutorials, forum posts and direct assistance from Steve @ Zeb's Boards has guided me to the point I am at now.

The issue I am having is with the Vishay (APD-128G032) DMD (via PINDMD2 w/DMD Piggy 1.1) kit I am using.

I am running an Intel i5-8400 CPU @ 2.8GHz on Windows 10.

On the software side, I have followed Terry Red's Youtube setup tutorials, I feel confident my problem is not on the software side.  I have done my share of research online in order to prevent having to come on the forums and bother anyone about helping me with this issue but no luck so far.  Followed the pdf manuals, etc...

My biggest question is POWER DELIVERY....  currently I am running power via the 8pin cable from J604 on the DMD Piggy 1.1 board to the back of the DMD.  Also, I am sending power from the computer power supply to J606 on the DMD Piggy 1.1 board

Also there is the grey ribbon cable that runs from the back of the DMD to the PINDMD2 board.

Do I need to have two sources for power?

I have loaded and tested many tables but nothing has ever lit up on my DMD, concerned it might not be working.

In Device Manager, initially windows had some issues with driver signature enforcement , which I was able to get around with help from older forum posts.  Currently it seems to see pindmd with no driver errors.

I have pictures that support and clarify all of what I have discussed here, if needed to help clarify.  As a newb I did not see any easy way to append these pics to my message.  I am off to figure that part out next.

Many hours spent on this problem, any help would be very, very much appreciated.  Thanks everyone.  This is an awesome community with some very generous and passionate people and I am really looking forward to becoming part of that.

Maybe a better approach would to ask...   Anyone out there have a Virtual Pin table with a Playfield/Backglass LCD screen w/Vishay DMD combo?  If so, would anyone be willing to share their dmddevice.ini file with me?  At least that way I can be sure the problem is not with my text based config.  Cheers

Did you change this to be TRUE?

[pindmd2]

; if false, doesn't bother looking for a pinDMD2
enabled = false

If you feel the need to empty your wallet in my direction, i don't have any way to receive it anyways

Hey wiesshund, yes, I do have that enabled, as 'TRUE'.  Thanks though!  Looks like I am having some issues with the board blowing fuses and not being able to hold a fuse without it popping straight away.  It was hard to see the break in the fuse at first, I am pretty that is going to be the issue.  Have to see what is happening to cause this overload.

Yeah it does connect via USB to the PC.  It also has a couple power connections and two cables to the DMD.  I will posts some pics as this is hard to visualize without pics to support...
