For some older tables that use ROM's but don't utilize my DMD (Flight 2000, Gorgar, Firepower and the like), I'd like to be able to display either a still image or video of things like the high scores for that table, etc.  Anyone know of a way to either call up a video, still image or hyperdmd from the table start?

 

I am currently figuring out how to make DMD videos with hyperdmd, so I think I'll have that part down soon enough... I also didn't know if something could be scripted to run hyperdmd, load a project directly into it and have it run natively from the table script.

 

Any ideas?  Is this already being done?

Hi David,

 

I am also looking for a similar solution....

I'm building a pincab including pinDMD2 & dmd display...and I would like to extend the use of the DMD display with other information (marquee / game info with Mame, etc...)

 

I am still playing around with XDMD library and the command line xdmd_cmd 

 

What are your findings ?
