File Name: Jokerz! (Night Mod)_VP916_FS_v1.3

File Submitter: Aaron James

File Submitted: 04 Jul 2013

File Category: VP 9.x MOD Cabinet Tables (FULL SCREEN)

Author(s): JP Salas, Aaron James, The Wool, Koadic
Manufacturer: Williams
Year: 2013
Permission to MOD?: Yes, with approval

New version of JP Salas' classic vp9 table. The Wool, Koadic, and I have made the following changes.

- Reworked the top playfield, to try and be more transparent. No need for the secondary set of "b-e-t" lights. Ball movement is more visible under the playfield. Alpha ramps used.
- Replaced most of the rubbers on the playfield so they are like brand new ;-)   ......we "shopped" it out, lol.
- Most table images altered.
- GI reworked/redone
- Physics reworked
- Ramps redone
- Spinner redone.
- Brand new alpha ramp plunger.
- B2B collision added
- New apron
- New ball size (little larger)
- New updated script for table.

*Special thanks for Koadic for taking the time to train me how to install/script this properly. He went over and above the call of duty.

Hi, this is great!

My flashers don't look right, do I have to setup something? Mine is on right and looks that way no matter if I use current or new (latest beta) VP version.

Ah, the flashers need to have the Alpha Ramp Accuracy slider all the way up (mine was in the middle) to look better, and of course the beta... solved. Thanks.

When I took that picture for the screenshot the flashers were not flashed all the way. They should look like the second picture. Hope that clears things up.

There's different levels of flashers? I thought they were off or on. Anyway, they look much better now (like left picture) after I turned my Alpha Ramp slider in prefs all the way up and used the beta. I think that's how they are supposed to look... so you can still see the light cap and not just a washy blur. The improved flashers are only in the beta, I believe, as was described in NBA Fastbreak release...

No, there aren't different levels of flashers. I do think it takes a small portion of time to get the flasher all the way "flashed" on the playfield though...i could be wrong.

I'm happy you got it working better, those flashers are awesome to look at :)

..really brings all the other changes to life.

This looks amazing!!! WOW- You are getting very good at this Mr. AJ. Awesome!!

On a side note, something is wrong with your avatar now. I don't remember seing this before but.... I can see the black outside the face. This is because of the black BG that was there.  Since that is a gif animation, it will be harder to fix, if you choose to. With black in your face as well, you need to cut the face right out carefully and put it on a transparent(photoshop) or any contrasting colour (like green) as a BG, then when you make the gif, you can cancel out(ie. set as transparent) the green and only be left with the face without that black. I really like this avatar so i hope you keep it.

Sorry off topic :)

Great looking Mod...Thanx for your help as well Koadic!!

Cheers,

Maceman

Yea, it's because I used some crappy online gif maker, lol.

This table release is truly a 3-way group effort.
The Wool and Koadic deserve just as much credit. :-)
I simply wanted to mod this table as it is one of my favorites.
Next is prolly funhouse.

I am not sure how much credit I deserve :) I only helped a little bit with the plunger and a little additional scripting.
