I have noticed a bug regarding the pursuit ramp. A fast ball will come down the ramp on the right and fly off to land (and sit) on top of the apron. This has happened to me about a dozen times so far with DX9 test 13. Sometimes, I have been able to nudge the ball into the center drain but if not it is a game ender.

This has never happened to me. Sounds like a nasty "feature". If someone can pinpoint the cause for this I would like to fix it.... but it's hard to fix it without knowing what exactly happens.

I will probably upload an update tomorrow anyway and fix "black lines on PF" problem and remove the textbox (visible only with 9.2.1).

Glad to hear that people like this version. I haven't played the real table but after looking at number of videos I think I got it to play really close to the actual table.

This happened to me multiple times as well.  as the ball is coming down fast off the rightmost ramp, it seems to bypass the curved metal stopper at the bottom of the ramp and flies directly over the outlanes onto the apron, bounces off bottom wall of the table and rolls into the drain.  it happens when the ball is moving fast, and you can tell on the real table they have very tall metal drain guards.  due to the ball moving so fast, i can't tell if it's ignoring the last 20% of the sidewalls of the plastic ramp or ignoring the metal stopper at the end of the ramp.

Playing with 9.2.1, I'm getting a large rectangular distorted block in the top right section of the playfield. I haven't switched over to the new dx builds.

Newbie question...I'm using VP 9.2.1. How do I turn off the ball streak on this table?  Using the ball setting options doesn't seem to have any effect.

jamiro,

Ball trails managed in 2 places:

1) Global setting :  Go to Video Options and turn it off there

2) Table settings:  Open table, click on Options button on left.  On right side set Ball Trails option to:  -1 or 0    (-1 means use global setting, 0 means always off, 1 means always on)

I'm getting the AAA thing now and then as well. You know it will happen when the end bonus parts fly by, just as it would when you use the flippers. Once it happens, every game will have this behavior until you restart vp (or maybe reloading the table will be enough. Didn't try that). I've never seen it on any other table.

Certainly not a big deal to me. I can live with AAA as I know it is my score anyway :) Just an odd thing though.

For the AAA problem - this code looks suspicious to me:

Sub JD_KeyDown(ByVal KeyCode) 'msgbox keycode

If KeyDownHandler(KeyCode) Then Exit Sub If KeyCode=PlungerKey Then Controller.Switch(12)=1
    If keycode = 3 Then Controller.Switch(31)  = False ' Buy-In Button     (2)
    If keycode = RightMagnaSave Then Controller.Switch(44) = False ' Super Game        (-)
If keycode = LeftMagnaSave Then Controller.Switch(11) = False ' Left Fire Button  (z)
  End Sub

Sub JD_KeyUp(ByVal KeyCode) If KeyUpHandler(KeyCode) Then Exit Sub If KeyCode=PlungerKey Then Controller.Switch(12)=0
    If keycode = 3 Then Controller.Switch(31)  = True ' Buy-In Button     (2)
    If keycode = RightMagnaSave Then Controller.Switch(44) = True ' Super Game        (-)
If keycode = LeftMagnaSave Then Controller.Switch(11) = True ' Left Fire Button  (z)
 End Sub

I think the "Trues" should be "False" and vice versa for the magna saves and key code 3.   Notice the plunger key has a "1" (which is the same as true).     It seems to be setting these buttons to "True" when you let go, and "False" when you push them down, leaving them in a "Stuck down" state until you push the button down again.   You won't see problems until you try pressing one of the magna saves or the buy in button.

I was actually wondering that true/false code myself too... I just copy&pasted it from some old version of JD (don't remember which one). Unfortunately I didn't have any time to check the functionality in detail (released the beta2 like 1 hour before leaving to airport),

I will check these when I have some time and create a non-beta release sometime in next 2 weeks.
