Hi, I only have a very basic computer and graphics card, will i need to upgrade before being able to play tables like Twilight zone or is the card in the metaquest 3 sufficient if I manage to upload all the required software and Roms?

What is a "basic" computer and graphics card?

I was playing this fine on a laptop 3080 (roughly equivalent to a desktop 3060) unless recording, but that was on a quest 2.  The resolution difference between the quest 2 and 3 isn't mind-bogglingly huge, and would consider pancake over Fresnel lenses to be the much bigger upgrade.

I suppose the question is whether I will always need a connected laptop to play visual pinball in quest 3 or is the hardware in the quest 3 sufficient to run the tables on its own (as it is for the arcade emulation games)

You will need to connect to your PC/Laptop in order to play VPX in VR. Depending on which way you connect, Steam (you will need Steam VR), Virtual Desktop (you will need the VD Streamer) or Oculus/Meta (you will need the Meta Software).
