Am I crazy or did the halo height feature disappear in 10.8? I need to put some lights on a higher ledge than the playfield, which I used to do all the time in 10.7, but now I can't find a way to do that at all. All the lights are glued to the bottom level of the playfield permanently, it seems. If there's at the very least a way to fake this effect and make it appear that a light is higher than the playfield, please let me know! Thanks!

EDIT -- well I found it, but is there a way to actually PUT the light on the ledge instead of just raising the height??

DOUBLE EDIT -- It also just doesn't seem to work?? Raising the halo height makes the light entirely invisible. Wtf???

Yeah I have no idea how to make this work. The more I alter the settings on the light, the less visible it is. I just want a series of like six circles to sit on top of a ledge that's height 58. How can I achieve this?

Enable halo lights, set halo height to 1 and set the surface to the wall you want them on :)

Oh the surface setting is inaccessible on my laptop at the bottom of the window. I can see it for a half second if I drag the light module up but I can't click it. As soon as I let go of the window, it disappears below the screen and I can't scroll down to edit it.. My screen isn't big enough. And my resolution is already set to as big as possible. Does this not account for people with smaller screens? Why do I feel like 10.7 was better? Lol. All the bugs from 10.7 are still there and I see no improvements. I can BARELY edit the Z position though and should hopefully work.

Also just increasing the intensity to 400 crashes it? Ugh. I need to downgrade to 10.7
