Anyone know if it is possible to easily use a cabinet button click to switch different cabinet sub menus using PinballY?

For example all NFL games under a quick xml menu that filters to just those tables ...

Looks like its just one big xml list but that cant be right...

If I create multiple systems that would work but how do I switch easily from one to another?

Originally I thought PinballY would manage by changing the XML files, adding categories there and modifying Javascript on PinballY interface - may be possible but was clearly not needed. http://mjrnet.org/pi...Javascript.html

 

Turns out there is a menu option (by clicking "1" as default on keyboard) which brings up a more extensive menu for filtering "by categories". Must have missed this menu option in the documentation.

 

(CREATE)

Categories are created in a simple text file or by using the PinballY menu --> ESC / Operator Menu / Game Setup / Select Categories / Edit Category Names ...

GameList.EmptyCategories = mycategory1, mycategory2, xyz

 

(MANAGE)

Ultimately categories are managed via a simple CSV file in PinballY which makes it nice if you want to bulk edit a group of tables moving them into a newly created category.

For example, I created a category called "xyz" and simply added it to a game called "mygame" as follows.

 

Game,Last Played,Play Count,Play Time,Is Favorite,Rating,Audio Volume,Categories,Is Hidden,Date Added,High Score Style,Marked For Capture,Show When Running

mygame.Visual Pinball 10.6 X,20191127053601,8,913,,,,xyz

 

Now when going into PinballY you can click "1" and click "Filter by Category" and select "xyz"

reading this only now.... i rly hoped for something like :
start Pinball Y, i get into Cathegories menu that i can switch with left/right flipper.... select a cathegory... and then select any table i with :\
not manually going in a sub menu and selecting a catheg... not "arcade" like XD
