no matter what i do i havent been able to get my pindmdv3 to work with FP , here is what i have done. to start the DMD works great with VP.

installed pindmd.dll and opengl32.dll into the root directory of FP

after that when i start fploader or FP.exe the program starts in the background but never shows up , only way i know this is because in the task manager is shows up as running. If i take out the files the program works fine.

anybody have this issue

my system is

8 core AMD asus board 16gig ram gtx960. window 7 pro

There is a little bug where fp opengl32.dll does not play nice with the latest pinDMD.dll

work around is

create a pinDMD.ini file and place this file next to pinDMD.dll and put the following text inside

[communication]
comport=COM3

NOTE: change COM3 to what ever comport the pinDMD has been assigned on ur pc (using device manager)

Glad I found this thread as I just got FP working well. Now running with my v3 DMD.

Thanks also!

I'm having this exact problem but cannot seem to get it working.

I have unblocked dll's and created the ini file but no luck. If I remove these files. Fploader and fp work just fine.

Someone please take a look and let me know if I've missed something

Got it working. Must have been syntax in the ini file???

I downloaded the debugging ini file that is linked in the pindmdv3 installation instructions and added the comport line

Guys, I have tried all the following steps without success. When the OpenGL32.dll in my Future pinball folder, task manager shows it running and also COM surrogate, but nothing happens.  Without the OpenGL32.dll, future pinball runs fine, but no DMD.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  OS Win 10.

Hey Shannon1,

Did you get it working? I've made it work before and had future pinball working great. Rebuilt my machine and now I'm having the same issue as you.

let me know what you figured out.

What worked for me:

I uninstalled future pinball and BAM. Re-installed future pinball with BAM, then rebooted the computer. Still same issue.

I then took the pindmd.ini file and took out any space at the front of the text that I downloaded from pindmd.com. Not sure why space got added in the front of each line but that seemed to work with the uninstall and reinstall. Who knows…. If your having issues like some out there I strongly suggest an uninstall and reinstall and then double check that .ini file.

I’ve got pindmd working great with BAM. However…

WHAT’S NOT WORKING – I can not get pindmd3 to work with pinup popper. Going to do some more playing around this week but if anyone has suggestion please let me know. pindmd3 works 50% of the time with fx3 but its sometimes a real hit or miss.

Suggestions / things to try?
