Now i did uninstall and install VPinmame (with latest .dll), and lost all my DMD Positions ... i think i did the same last Month witout any Problems.

The Reason for that was: i have no Music at STTNG, and remember at last Games the Music was here ...

Is there any Way to get back the Positions ? (maybe without manually placing, of course)

You don't need to reinstall when jou got a new version, Only add the new dll  in the Visual Pinball folder is enough!

Did you enable cabinet mode or use the cabinet version of the dll.  That is required to use DMD location I believe

All the DMD locations are stored in the registry here:   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Freeware\Visual PinMame

so reinstalling should not wipe those settings out.  You can check if they are still there or if they all got deleted.

If you do need to re-do all your tables, set up the DMD for one table, let's say Attack from Mars.  Open the registry and go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Freeware\Visual PinMam\afm_113b and right click on afm_113b folder and rename it to default.  Now every table you open will get the settings stored in the default entry.  That will get you 90% of the way there...

I was going to post the same thing.  Went to play STTNG a few days a go and no sound from rom...was working fine a few weeks ago.  Tried several of the roms and no sound from any of them.  All other tables have been fine.  I am using latest version of VPinmame.

Try right clicking on the dmd screen.
Settings for sound are there for some tables.

I don't know what helped but I did manage to get sound from this rom 'sttng_x7'.  But not 'sttng_s7' or 'sttng_l7'.  They are all turned way up as the rom is low.  But only got sound from 'sttng_x7'.  I did click install on the vpinmame setup.exe so maybe that did help?

HI,

Sometimes sound stops in VP after continued use. Close and reopen, it maybe that simple.

Also use SetDMD.exe (search around) good tool for setting DMD positions in bulk. just need to tweak when you play.

Hope this helps,

Webster

or use pindmd + real dmd so you don't need to mess with dmd positioning :)
