So here we are on the slow road to building my virtual cabinet. I've been running and using VP / FP for a while now, I've got quite a few tables I like and everything has been running great through Pinball X in desktop mode.

 

As soon as I tried to add the widescreen HD tv using the monitor as the second screen it all went belly up! I can't figure out how to configure it all! I may just be having a bad day, but I'd sooner just ask the stupid questions now rather than waste time randomly changing settings.

 

Obviously I now need to disregard the tables I've been downloading (desktop) and now download cabinet tables correct?

 

What's the difference between cabinet and spanned tables?

 

When I try and load cabinet tables into VP nothing happens they load up and then VP disappears? I'm using version 9.0.8

 

Now on the PC what should the arrangement be, it currently as shown in this pic.

 

 

 

 

Finally since using the new TV and flipping the image portrait I cant seem to make the table image on pinball X fill the screen area, see image this looks bizarre compressed up like this, I guessing it's to do with the wrong display configuration?

Monitor 1 should probably be set to landscape also.

Use the cabinet tables. Spanned tables are the older multi-monitor tables - never tried those

Yeah, just needed to walk away from it and come back with a clear head. I had already changed the PC settings to portrait in readiness for dual screen playing. Now I realise that the resolution remains in landscape and you change the rotation in the software.
