I've almost completed my first successful table install on Visual Pinball X.  Everything works except the backglass is not displayed.  I've read that it should so long as the .vpx and .directB2S files are in the same folder and are named identically.  This is all correct but still no backglass.  I have a two monitor setup.  I've spent a lot of time on this and hope someone can just help me get a quick 'win' here.  Thanks so much!

Welcome to the forum.

You have to install B2S-Server and register the DLL.

But come to think of it, pretty sure a working B2S-Server is install as part of Toxie's Installer (if you used that).

I think you also need a valid ScreenRes.txt

Oh, and make sure B2S-Server is not de-activated in VPX-Editor Prefs.

This is an older thread, but nothing really changed much on the initial setup:

Edited.

Thanks for responding.  Says its running and registered and I did create the screenres.txt. Thanks for the link... soooo close but hung up on this last issue.  Very frustrating when everything looks right but just doesn't work.

Without vpx running, If you double click a .b2s file does it show up on your second screen?

Also your b2s server files should be in the tables folder.

I'll try installing both 32 and 64 bit versions. Thx

It doesn't launch if I just click on the .b2s file.  It gives me an error that says "Second path statement must not be a drive or UNC name. Parametetr name: path 2"

Thr b2s server was in the folder above the Tables folder.  I copied them into the tables folder but doesn't change anything.

Thanks!

It works now!  Unfortunatly I'm not sure what I did.  Maybe it just had to work itself out.  I'll take the win.  1 table loaded!  I can see that this is going to take a while but that's cool... I don't want a lot of tables, I just want everything on my system to work.  Thanks everyone!

1. It works now! Thanks everyone!

2. I'll take the win.  1 table loaded!  I can see that this is going to take a while but that's cool...

3. I don't want a lot of tables, I just want everything on my system to work.

1. Excellent

2. Yes, take the working as a win. I like to get them working one-at-a-time ... all adjusted-up.

3. Same here. I have 3-screen cabinet. I used to have 40 tables. Since I upgraded to v10.8, I only have 11 tables re-validated (and purposely only those listed in Front-End). When I (or wife and me as 2-player) wanna play ... we wanna play one of these best 11, so I'm missing nothing really.

This is our top 7:

Star Trek - TNG
Terminator 2
F14 Tomcat
ToM
Addams Family
Rescue-911
Flash Gordon (XenonPH sound enhanced)

Now that you have the b2s server files are in the tables folder if you re-register again it should work for all tables.

I have lots and lots on my cabinet 2 screen. So much fun.
