WOW what an amazing Pinball, I love the design, the colors and the action of the LED's. Thank you all for the great Table.

Last Week I got my Pin two DMD and now the Table crashed. When I installed the FlexDMD dll's it works fine but when I used the Pin two DMD dll it crashed.

What can I do?

I use VPinMame32 3.5, Flexx Vs 1.8.0.0.. Additionally, I've installed the DMD Extensions vs 2.1.0.0

This doesn't sound like it's a "JP's IT" table problem.

Perhaps you should ask for tech support from the place where you got the DMD from?

Check table script
'FlexDMD in high or normal quality
'change it to True if you have an LCD screen, 256x64
'or keep it False if you have a real DMD at 128x32 in size
Const FlexDMDHighQuality = True

Thank you your advice will motivate me to test something.

I have changed the line but the table still crashed. In the FlexDMD crash.txt it says "Failed to save minidump" .

The Iron Man Table from JP works fine it used UltraDMD, it seems the problem lies within FlexDMD.

I tried the FlexDMD Demo. When only text is transmitted to the Pin two DMD it looks fine. However, when I change to graphic it crashed.

Any ideas? Has someone else got the same problem?

I solved the problem. I used the Pin two DMD DLL from VPinMAME 3.4. and everything works.

if i change to FlexDMDhighquality=true then everything is fine until I save the table- next start i get the following error:

Runtime error
-------------
Line: 2116
Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.
Parameter name: index

setting to lowquality doesnt help. have to overwrite with the original table file. now i never save the table but have to change to "true" each and every time i start the table.

No problem here at all. I can change that back and forth, save the table and it will run without problem. I even tried to do that with the VPX8 beta, and it still works.

I guess you are using the latest version, but that line 2116 in version 4.3 has to do with the startup of FlexDMD but the lower resolution, so I don't understand that error. But if you are using the table from VPU then you'll need to ask there as the tables are not the same as they added a lot of other extra stuff, and the line numbers will be different.

Well, makmak, I don't know what are you doing, but here you have the table with that Const FlexDMDHighQuality = False changed to true, like this Const FlexDMDHighQuality = True

Nothing else is changed and the table works just like before, but with the FlexDMD in a higher resolution.

Sounds like maybe an outdate FLexDMD version?

If you are running vpx 10.8 you have to use the flexDMD vpx 10.8 beta version

This is probably one of the best tables I've honestly played. The creepy wind up music when it starts is scary as heck! This looks fantastic on my ALP cabinet too.

I may sound like an idiot asking this, but os there a DMD frame for this table or a DMD for use in the middle of a third screen? For some reason my computer refuses to show any direct b2s or any b2s at all sp I've been finding the frames and DMD for everything I have.

The table uses FlexDMD for cabinet use, so make sure FlexDMD is registered by running FlexDMDUI.exe, And if it is registered then you may need a new version, mostly is you are running VPX8.

So, I should update:

dmdext: Releases · freezy/dmd-extensions (github.com)  Remember to do not overwrite for DmdDevice.ini

FlexDMD: Releases · vbousquet/flexdmd (github.com)

db2s: Releases · vpinball/b2s-backglass (github.com)

And use the VPX8 RC4, if you are running an older version of VPX8 :)

Releases · vpinball/vpinball (github.com)

Enjoying this piece of art since version 4.3.

Game v5.0.0 on RC5 went fine with ball locks, multiball (nice blue colored balls btw.), then 2 balls stalled on the upper richt circle ramp (ramp008)

jpsitball_stall_t.png

Found that adjusting the _metals Physics by overwrite Material settings → Friction 0,03 on Ramp008, 010 and 012 helped.

Thanks! I'll fix that asap :) I had the same problem with Rollercoaster, I guess I added to much friction to the metal material to be used on ramps, and I thought the ramps already used the ramp material I made to them  :) So it is actually a matter of changing the material on the ramps.

UPDATE

5.0.1 Updated 04.12.2024
- Fixed ball stuck on the right ramp. Thanks, dogm for telling me about the bug.

I simply replaced the physical material of the ramps from _Metal to _Ramp and that solved the problem. Usually I use the _Ramp on the ramps that go up and _RampsDown on the ramps that goes down, but on some ramps I chose the _Metal which it has a friction between _Ramp and _RampsDown :) But then I changed the _Metal properties and... :D

Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie in the world of Visual Pinball and I'm totally hooked!

I soon discoverd this amazing table of one of my favorite movies.

But now I have a technical question about the Pupversion of this table.

I totally loved, but for one thing: The jumpscare image that blocks the playfield when you have a ballsave or ball lock.
It's super frustrating to loose a bal because you can't see it coming.

So I wish the adjust the time that the image appears. Much shorter (to get the jumpscare) would be much better.

Can someone please help me edit the script??

(I already found a fix by replacing the images that are used for transparent ones, but that's not the best solution).

I also found a bug: I got several occasions that the ball stayed stuck in the (at least on the left) magnet. NO way to get it out...only restart the table.

Thank you so much and keep up to great work!!

Kind regards,

Jochen

I'm afraid we can help you with that, at least I can't help you since I didn't make the pupack. I guess the best is to ask where you downloaded the puppack, I'm sure there is a support thread there too :)

Thanks, I've found the solution with ChatGPT (times have really changed if forums can't help, but AI can).

Can I report another bug?

I had the multiball with the bloody balls while a mission was running (save one of the kids).

After I've lost the last ball I got another ball and got another 4 ball multiball. I don't think that was supposed to happen.

I guess that may happen if you get the ball saver on, but it may be a bug as you say :)
