I didn't push any buttons for extra balls...just got them through play. I will say that it was vague what to hit to get it, but it's in there...like Prego :)

I think he is talking about the "Buy in' feature.  It gives you the option but will not accept the "2" key.

I guess I have missed the buy-in key from the script.

I will try to find some time today to fix these things before I head to the airport:

1) Add buy-in key

2) Fix the black lines (adjust pf flasher)

3) Remove textbox from screen

4) Add some invisible walls to try to fix the "ball going to apron" problem.

To fix the black lines, click on the main playfield sized flasher named "gipf" and change it's height to 0.5 in the editor.

Save and play.

Great!  That did it for me. Thanks

Thanks for this table. I had lots of fun with an Ultimate Challenge that seemed to last forever :)

I did have to set .ShowFrame  to zero. That border annoys me for some reason.

BETA2 version uploaded with the following change log:

- Fixed black lines on PF (adjusted pfGI height)
- Fixed missing buy-in key (2)
- Added invisible walls to try to prevent ball getting to Apron
- Removed debug textbox from backdrop (visible with official vp 9.2.1 version)

I was not able to get the "ball on apron" bug myself but I added a lot of high invisible walls before the apron so I'm surprised if it still happens.

Keep reporting if you find any other oddities.

Did you add the coin door close at the init table?
And big thanks for your work, the result is visible :)

Coin door close? Why is it needed? (not seeing any problems myself with it) Not even sure how to do that...

On some tables you have to set the coin door switch at the table in it or it won't let you start the game until you hit the end key (coin door).

I didn't notice this in this table

"it will all be ok in the end, if it's not ok, it's not the end"

First thing the dmd displays is that the coin door is opened, and it sfays like this for quite some time, i'm not at home but on there are examples on other wpc tables, on init table, you can set coin door switch to 1

Doesn't do it for me. I don't get any coin door message. Weird.

Anyway, I can't fix this now (already on my way to airport ... unfortunately NOT for holiday)

Hopefully this isn't a problem for many players. Please post the solution here for now if you find it.

I had the same error as bolt, but I used DX9 test 9a. Tried DX9 test 12a and it worked. Went back to dx9 9a and it starts working with no error. Now though dx9 12a has gone silent, no sound, but dx9 9a is unaffected.

Terrific mod Teppotee, your best yet!!

here is the quick fix

copy this:

.Switch(22) = 1 'close coin door

paste at the bottom of the controller init

     vpmInit Me
     With Controller
         .GameName = cGameName
         If Err Then MsgBox "Can't start Game " & cGameName & vbNewLine & Err.Description:Exit Sub
         .SplashInfoLine = "Judge Dredd - based on the Williams's 1993 Table" & vbNewLine & "VP9 table and Script by Lord Hiryu v1.0"
         .HandleKeyboard = 0
         .ShowTitle = 0
         .ShowDMDOnly = 1
         .ShowFrame = 1
.Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("sound") = 1
        ' .Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("dmd_pos_x")=1827
        ' .Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("dmd_pos_y")=460
        ' .Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("dmd_width")=260
        ' .Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("dmd_height")=63
        ' .Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("rol")=0
         .HandleMechanics = 0
         .Hidden = 0
         On Error Resume Next
         .Run GetPlayerHWnd
         If Err Then MsgBox Err.Description
         On Error Goto 0

so in the end it will look like this

     vpmInit Me
     With Controller
         .GameName = cGameName
         If Err Then MsgBox "Can't start Game " & cGameName & vbNewLine & Err.Description:Exit Sub
         .SplashInfoLine = "Judge Dredd - based on the Williams's 1993 Table" & vbNewLine & "VP9 table and Script by Lord Hiryu v1.0"
         .HandleKeyboard = 0
         .ShowTitle = 0
         .ShowDMDOnly = 1
         .ShowFrame = 1
.Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("sound") = 1
        ' .Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("dmd_pos_x")=1827
        ' .Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("dmd_pos_y")=460
        ' .Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("dmd_width")=260
        ' .Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("dmd_height")=63
        ' .Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("rol")=0
         .HandleMechanics = 0
         .Hidden = 0
         On Error Resume Next
         .Run GetPlayerHWnd
         If Err Then MsgBox Err.Description
         On Error Goto 0
         .Switch(22) = 1 'close coin door

this section is the table init starting at line 67 in the script

"it will all be ok in the end, if it's not ok, it's not the end"

I personally don't mind the ball going up on the apron.  I'm such a ball batter on real pins that I will at some point get the ball stuck somewhere it shouldn't be.  I think the ops back in the day hated me because I was always getting them to come recover the ball.

Yesterday I took my cabinet components to work to show my partner, and he thought it was funny when he got the ball stuck on one of the plastics.  I had never seen that before in VP and thought it was kinda realistic.  Wouldn't want it happening on a regular basis though. :)
