just for a second confirmation I took a few measurements as well on one of mine not in anything:

bolts are 3/16" diameter (actual bolt size, not measured)

bolts spaced 1-1/4" apart (center to center)

   bolts are 1.59" long

the nylon(?) part (around the rod itself) tapers from 0.56" to 0.50" toward the plunger tip

metal rod itself is standard 3/8"

or using the mm setting on the calipers:

   bolts 4.76mm diameter

   bolts 31.75mm apart

   bolts 40.2mm long

nylon plunger sleeve is 14.2mm to 12.8mm diameter

   plunger rod is 9.54mm diameter

the rod is centered between the bolts where it abuts the outside of the cabinet, but since the rod is at a slight angle (to match the playfield) it is off center slightly after that.

hope that helps.

Wow thanks for all that BorgDog. Feeling the love! I think I did pretty good without having calipers all things considered haha. I'm sure that will help MikePinball a lot

How far does this assembly extend into the cabinet measured from the inside wall?  I'm just now starting the analysis of what I need to buy to build my VP, and I'm trying to avoid finding I'll be trying to plunger the TV cuz I measured wrong.

Thanks!

The exact length of the housing is 5.8" from the inside edge of the cab. But you may need a little extra to account for spring bounce. In the picture below the rod is slightly shorter than the housing and so spring bounce does not exceed 5.8". But if you put the rubber tip on the end, that extends the length of the rod to be longer than 5.8" and I would leave at least 6".

I am very pleased to announce that my custom plunger kit for my old Gottlieb plunger is a huge success. Not only were the measurements spot on, but I did not need to modify my table, flipper button placement, or shave any material from the 3d print!

How the heck do you upload pictures here? I uploaded a few pics in the Virtual Pinball discord channel. They are in the digital-plunger section, along with my praises:)

If I purchased the Pinscape Lite board and the Plunger Kit Mk-II would I need a power supply?  Also would I need to fit any fuses?  Thanks

I installed the Pinscape Lite and Plunger Kit without additional PSU or fuses.  No problems.

As posted above, I successfully installed the Plunger Kit and configured VPX, no problems.  Works great!
FP required a little more tweaking to increase the Gains to make the Nudge more responsive. This was VERY helpful Future Pinball Analog Nudge.

I've been trying to configure FX3 for almost 2 weeks and it's driving me nuts. I installed x360ce, configured the X, Y, and Z axis and installed the INI in the FX3.exe folder (I'll have to look up the specific folder-name and repost when I'm back in front of my cab).

PLEASE, can anyone provide a SPECIFIC FX3 Plunger/Nudge link or video for setting this up?  Please do not send a link to a 1 1/2 hour video or 50 page document that generically covers everything. I've seen & read them all and this is not helpful.

Thanks!

Thanks for confirming that no additional supply is required. So do you have to supply either the Lite board or the plunger kit with power from the PC PSU or does it use USB power? Although I took a look at the manuals I still am not 100% clear. If power is needed from PC PSU which connected is required?

The PinScape Lite is powered by the USB, but there is also a 5v & 12v connection from the PC molex connection. The separate PSU is only required if you are running Toys / LEDs, not for Plunger/Nudge.

Hi Mike, Just wanted to drop a thank you for the plunger kit. Well built, easy to setup. Between your products and the work MJR has put in, this build has almost been easy (well, sort of anyway), hardest time I have if figuring out what I want to add next. Anyway, thanks again!

I think I damaged the plunger :( I heard some noise in the cabin. After looking inside, it turned out that the signal cable from "Right magnasave" (connected to the Input socket in Pinscape) was unplugged and probably touched the plunger (it was hanging next to it). Unfortunately, the plug did not have cover. Could the contact itself damage the plunger? Does not respond to movements. What could be damaged, plunger or Pinscape controller? Please advise because I do not know what to replace. Maybe the potentiometer itself?
