In my opinion, there is a serious problem with most EM-VPins: When the ball is launched with the plunger in a normal pinball machine and lands in the upper part at the gates, the ball usually bounces back and forth a few times before it passes one of the gates. This is especially the case when the rubbers are new. With VPins, on the other hand, it is typically the case that the ball bounces to the left against the rubber boundary after launch, bounces from there and then immediately passes one of the gates. In 90% of cases, it is the same gate every time. With the Wiggler, for example, it is almost never possible to switch the gate options. I have often tried to change this shortcoming by increasing the rubber elasticity, but have not yet been able to achieve a satisfactory result.
Question: Are you familiar with this problem? If so, what solutions are there?

Can you increase the power of the plunger?

I'm sure there's setting for that but not sure where.

You can't take it with you so you might as well waste it on pinball!

In addition to elasticity, friction can also make a difference, try increasing it.

I don't know this table, JPS tables use a code to limit spinning and this also limits the left-right movement.

That's because the plunger is super strong in real EM tables :) I can simulate that, but I also use a ball speed routine to keep the ball from achieving warp speeds. So, I could increase the bounce on the top rubbers by disabling this routine until the ball goes down the top lanes, and I could get something similar. Other authors do not use this routine, and they fix this by increasing the bounce. I'm aware of this problem, but instead of doing strange things I prefer to keep the elasticity the same on all the rubbers of the same kind, even if that means less bounce on the top.

I forgot to add that to fix this issue you should do the following:

- Find the wall on the top left EM Wheel rubber, the one called RubberBand11, and select it.

- Go to the physics tab and select "Overwrite material settings" and change the 3 values to:

Elasticity: 1,1

Elasticity Falloff: 0

Friction: 0,25

Now the ball will bounce on the top, up to several times :)

Many thanks to everyone who helped with their tips, especially JP. I have adjusted the settings according to your suggestions, have also made changes to the other rubbers in the entrance area and can confirm that the ball launch is now much better.
Now that I know the solution, I will make the appropriate changes to other EM tables.
