Hi,

I have build my cabinet with a custom build of Michael Robert's Pinscape controller. I use a VCNL4010 as plunger sensor. I had the problem, that the plunger power was much too low for many tables. Then I noticed, that I forgot to set up the Speed Axis to rZ, I had it disabled before. Now I have enough power on those tables. But now I have a problem with many other tables. The plunger works, but either it does not reach the ball at all or very weak. That is not a problem of the release speed. The overlap seems to be too low. When I push the plunger in a bit more, the ball is hit. I changed the stroke length of a table and it worked again. Is editing the stroke length for all tables the only option, or is there a global setting I missed?

Example tables of this issue are:

Cactus Canyon Bigus MOD2.0: The ball is hit, but so weak, that it does not reach the circle

Tales of the Arabian Knights 4k 1.0: The ball isn't hit at all

Probably the plunger is not calibrated correctly so that for the software it's always in the state of slightly drawn out, which would explain why it doesn't fully reach the ball - try recalibrating

I recalibrated several times as described. Pulled out, held a moment, released. And pulling out the plunger with the launch button hits the ball as it should. The only difference to the setting before is the speed input. Whithout speed input the ball is hit.

Now I am not sure, if the speed axis setting is correct with this hardware. However the documentation of vpx says, that the Pinscape controller sends the speed information with the rZ axis. But I cannot find anything in the Pinscape build guide about this.

Now I noticed, that I have a maximum value during calibration between 55000 and 56000 when fully pulled back. When calibration is finished, the maximum value jumps to 65535. On some tables I see, that I don't reach the maximum pullback.

Some tables might have a filter enabled on the plunger, others not. See if that makes any change.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.
