Yes. I'm using monochrome ROMs and having the problem.

I've tried r3 build but it doesn't work at all. No settings, no effects, just dots like with freezy 1.7.2

@h4fl4: Thanks for the screenshots, looks like a bug indeed. Will have a look.

@Carny_Priest: Oh, right, many people are displaying the DMD on a separate monitor. The settings window is shown on the right side of the DMD, so yeah, if your screen ends there then you won't see it. I'll remove the positioning and let Windows handle it, that will probably solve it. For monochrome vs colored, it's the same settings. You can't set the color, only shift it my changing the hue, which works for monochrome as well as colored.

Otherwise I'm aware that some of you have performance problems. With all layers and pixels on, dmdext draws 16k surfaces on the canvas, which explains the lags. I started looking into pixel shaders for some of them, but haven't gotten far yet. I'll keep you posted.

Yes, I do use the full width of the DMD display. That explains why I can't see the GUI.

Is this project still in the works? It looked promising but I haven't seen an update to this or dmdext in awhile.

DAMMIT!

I just received my PinDMD v3 yesterday.  Now I see this stuff.

Hmmm...should I install it or just stick with my 3 monitor setup. Hmmmm.......

Sorry, for some reason VPF seems to unsubscribe me from a topic a while after there hasn't been any activity.

Yes, still in the works.

Is it possible to use this program to customize other DMD sizes like 128x16, 192x64 & 256x64?

confirmed working with Freezy+ 1.8, Vpinmame 3.3 and 10.7 all latest versions. It still lags the Windmd by 2-3 seconds. Tested on a basic i7 laptop (intel graphics) with IJ7 rom. But runs Ok normally.

download and replace the Dll

Edit your dmddevice.ini with the above script (page1)

You will need to have DMD coloring working OK first.

Play!

Well, 1.8 is the Dll, if you replace it, it ain't 1.8 no more ;)

As I said in the 1.8 release thread, this hasn't made it into 1.8, mainly due to performance issues. If some shader guru wants to give me a hand I'll spend more time on it, but I'm currently busy with VPE these days.
