Ah yes, that's not so easy to fix because it really depends on the mesh layout(size, scale and pivot). But you can use the ReflectionEnabled flag and set it to 0 when the drop target is dropped.
The flag can be used in the script for dynamic elements.

A little bug in the latest rev: if I go to "view" -> "options" the window won't close, even after restarting it's still there

Go back to "view" and click on "options" again and the box will close.  Conversely, you can also click on the "options" box on the main interface to the left of the table area and it should close.

Sorry, it was my mistake, thanks!

This has been a life saver for redoing the dodgy ramps that are not double sided. Now that we can disable the static render and set depth bias to -500 it's fixed all of them. :)

Just installed vpX for the first time ( wanted to wait till official release but ... ) in my cabinet.

( windows xp with nvdia graphics card,2 monitor system )   release 2177

Tested Tx-Sector version 3 by Dozer316. The table loads and the playfield is shown correctly

but thats all. ( copied the keys from vp9 ).The rom doesn't start. When i manually exit the table a warning screen pops up

with text ' NV_API_NO_IMPLEMENTATION '.

Is there a setting i have to change in NVDIA menu or somewhere else ?  Don't know anything about

FXAA or anti aliasing ... that's all out of my brainrange ( ? )

Want to discover this new platform too so thanx for helping me out.

Over the weekend I had a chance to play around a bit more with the reflections and latest vp version.  Surprisingly on my laptop graphics seemed improved and reflections work well (could also be upgrading to windows 10??)  On my cabinet I ran into this weird rainbow glitch with any table that I enabled reflections on.  Disabling reflections and the table goes back to normal and works fine.  I tested with my own tables and others I've downloaded.  Rainbow seemed to be the same in all.  My system spec's are lacking and plan an upgrade soon.. but just thought it was weird...    Windows XP core2duo 2.6 OC to 3.0 4gb ram,  1gb ati graphics card(another lesser card for backglass and dmd).  I'd have to look to find the exact models.  Could it be an ATI thing? as I know most use nvidia cards....  I have all settings set pretty low for performance in general.  Just found it odd that it ran fine on my laptop (nvidia shared memory card) and not really at all on my cabinet.

I also have a AMD card in both systems (desktop and cab) and I don't get these glitches. Any display enhancers active?

so I've seen in the past people talking about "ball creep" where there ball rides upward for no reason...

I found that this was happening a lot on vulcan and soon to be released fire queen... and now on hulk, cleopatra, and eight ball champ

what I found was wherever a ramp was used as a wall this was happening.... so I replaced all the ramp walls with "regular" walls... no more ball creep...

hope this help other having the same issue

Same here. Rubbers let balls roll backwards etc..
Once a rubber stopped the ball in place and prevented it from falling into a kicker.

I did a quick test with my ATI 5770, reflection on Win7 works, on Win XP not.
It could be a question of operating system.

I would say it's the driver that is different on old win xp. I encountered a huge performance boost after switching from win xp over to win7 64 bit. That was two years ago but I guess that new driver versions are better optimized for newer Windows versions than xp ;)

With Win7 I can set the FPS limiter to 60 without stuttering,With XP 120,

and Dirty Harry does not give me any error like Win XP does.

It's time to think about buying a new PC with new OS, but in the meantime that I think,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,, :coffee1:

I will continue to stress :D with the problems encountered with the good old WinXP.

On a slightly different topic to rubbers can anyone shed any light on why a ramp visibility flag included in

showdt doesn't seem to be working?

For instance if I include an entry like this in the table init

 If Table1.ShowDT = true then
 For each jdxx in BDLights:jdxx.IntensityScale = 7:next
 ramp20.visible = 1
 else
 For each jdxx in BDLights:jdxx.IntensityScale = 0:next
 ramp20.visible = 0
 End If

The visibility of the ramp doesn't change.

Thanks in advance.

That's only working if the ramp is a dynamic one. If you use a material where opacity is deactivated then you won't see any changes because a solid ramp is static.
