Hi everyone,

I’m having a strange issue with Visual Pinball and I’m not sure if it’s a bug, a table script problem, or something related to my setup.

Sometimes, after I finish a game, the button used to start a new game stops working. I’m using the default key/button 1 to start a game. When this happens, pressing 1 does nothing, and the only way I can make it work again is to close the table, close Visual Pinball completely, and then open everything again.

I’ve also noticed a similar problem when entering a high score. Sometimes I can’t enter or confirm my initials because the 1 button does not respond.

I tried this with The Addams Family and Medieval Madness, and it happens on both tables.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there any known fix or setting I should check?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

EDIT: I’ve noticed that this seems to happen after I alt+tab out of the game. All the other buttons keep working, but the 1 button stops responding and won’t work again until I restart Visual Pinball. I’m playing in full screen and using three monitors, for what it’s worth.

EDIT 2: I found a workaround. When the Start button stops responding after Alt+Tab, simply pressing the Alt key once makes it work again. The Alt key may be getting “stuck” after Alt+Tab, and pressing Alt once releases it.
