Hi,

I'm new to the virtual pinball community. Since september I started building my own virtual pinball and all was going pretty well until now. I hit my first major issue when trying to install DOF. The first thing I wanted to test with DOF was the launch button and the start button only light up when needed. When I installed dof none of my tables was starting anymore. If I try to start the tables with visual pinball X It starts loading, but it gets stuck on loading scripts. When I remove the link to the DirectOutput folder in the tables/plugins and tables plugins64 foldern the tables are loading again but DOF is not working. If I remove the GlobalConfig_B2SServer.xml file, the tables start OK, but DOF is not working. Anyone who had this issue and could help out? Do you need extra info?

Kind regards,

Koen

Yes had this issue with new versions of Dudes cab software and/or DOF software mismatch. What's your controller? Which DOF version did you try to install?

Good to hear you got your VPX installation working again.

Did you install DOF like this? :

http://mjrnet.org/pi...html#installDOF

Automatic setup ... using both the 32-bot and 64-bit installers as suggested?

And then use the VPU online Config-Tool
- Generate your config and place the files on your system as instructed.

That's what I did and it worked the first time (starting with the VPU DOF-Test-Table).

I did some more digging and found out that the dudes cab is the problem. I had contact with Arnoz and try the solution he provided. I'll post when i tried it

Hi All,

Thanks for the replies. With the deadmanworking relpy and Arnoz mail and info, I installed DOF from the dude's cab configurator and DOF is working fine now. Thanks for the quick support and now on to installing the led strips.

I am starting from scratch. Just loading tables on my computer right now. Plan on starting a cabinet this summer. I plan on buying a flatpack because I don’t have all the woodworking tools needed. I will buy a flatpack and make what extras I need. I have about 35 tables downloaded and working right now and plan on getting a lot. I’ve used pin up popper and have had a few problems with some tables loading but have seemed to get that worked out. I tried installing DOF today and nothing would load. I tried about 10 tables and nothing worked. So I took it off and everything is working again. I know you need to have it with a cabinet so I will read some more and try again. I will try the dudes cab thing next to see if it works for me. I backed up everything before trying it so I could recover it if needed. This stuff is pretty complicated but it’s fun. Can’t wait to start building a cabinet and adding all the stuff needed to get the effects.

I have the same problem with my dude's cab and DOF.  I spent all day yesterday trying to get into work with no success.  I also was using the MJR net install based on a recommend recommendation from way of the wrench videos on YouTube.  I can't wait to get home tonight and try to install POF directly from the dude's cab configurator. I didn't realize that was an option.   Thank you for posting what you found!  If this helps me tonight, I'll report back as well.

Installing DOF using the DOF button inside the Dude's Cab configuator fixed it for me also!  My VPX tables no longer freeze halfway though startup!  Thank you!.
