Dear everyone,

I have a problem installing my(second) kl25z board. After i damaged the first one bij accidently dropping a screw on it, I bought a new KL25Z.

During the setup with the Pinscape program (2024-10-05-2011), Pinscape stopped after clearly indicating that the setup was successful. The status LED on the KL25Z blinks orange. I thought the board was defective, so I bought another one, but I get the same result. What is going wrong??????

 

extra info about kl25z: bootloader version 1.12 debug app version 1.18 open sda id:81B0-373D1810-1768E678

so after i put the usb cable into other port of the kl25z nothing happens in pinscape

update: when I try to  install with the configtool I only have one option(pinscape controller 2024) on a youtube video i see somebody who has two options

If you have baught the new version of KL25z, with USB-C connector and without the round corners, this board does not work with pinscape firmware anymore because of missing accelerator chip

Thanks for the bad news. Can someone tell me what the best replacement is without having to spend hundreds of dollars, and preferably something that also works with Pinscape and VPX?

I would suggest to send back the faulty KL25z back to the seller to get a refund.

I have send an Info to digikey again, so that they can adapt their infos.

 

No, there is no compatible Pinscape alternative to the kl25z.

But MJR has developed a successor called Pinscape pico https://www.vpforums...showtopic=54968

 

you can try to get a used kl25z board
