Ive run into a problem with wiring all my virtual cab buttons and am looking for some advice as to how to fix things.

Im starting out with an A1Up cabinet. In addition to the existing 2-prong flipper and launch buttons, I added 2 Retro530 LED coin buttons and 5 additional 4-prong LED buttons. Using the KL25Z board that came with the VirtuaPin plunger kit, I wired it through a wire block to each of the 10 buttons. For power, the Retro530 buttons have their own USB, but for the 5 LEDs, I wired them to a USB-attached zero-delay encoder. All LED lights work when powered, so at least that was successful.

However, although the coin buttons and stock buttons register in the VirtuaPin configuration tool, the LED buttons do not. I tried disconnecting the power to those buttons and tried just connecting the KL25Z-connected wire to each of the function connections, but nothing worked.

Does anyone have any advice? Would it make a difference that the ground I used for the LEDs all connect to the zero-delay encoder with only the function wire connected to the KL25Z?

Yup, you aren't connecting to the KLZ common line so the circuit isn't closing.  Add in a common line from the KLZ to the buttons in question (you can common ground the zero delay ground and the KLZ ground)
