Great recreation.

1) The left outlane does not feed the left flipper like it should. It hits the gate and drains like the left inlane.

2) I tried the nvram but still get only 3 balls.

Thanks for all the hard work.

Thanks for all the hard work.

If the ball is moving fast enough down the left outlane it feeds to the flipper, but if not that rubber on the post drains it.

Hello bha19,

I checked the nvram, it has at position 9D 05 - plays 5 ball. Close the table, then replace the nvram - this should work.

further I adjusted the left outlane this way (adding the triangle wall)

Attached File  Left side out support.png   21.09KB   2 downloads

now the ball runs smoothly to the flipper finger

Further i tuned the shooter lane (beding the guiding wall to a more round share, all anchor points are set to smooth)

Attached File  In Gate Guide Contour.png   12.65KB   2 downloads

with the plunger set to speed and strengths to 250 the makes a clean s-shape over the playfield into the left spinner. Further I set the friction at both guiding walls to zero, now the ball runs up to the top of the playfield.

.... suggestions from ... Christian.

great job! developing a rare table is always an extra challenge!

Congratulations to those involved!

when starting the table I get a message that the sound emulation is not 100%... any way to cancel this message?

Load table then press F1 & make sure Cabinet Mode is checked. That's it.

When I press my add credit button, the ROM adds 5 credits instead of one.

I haven't been able to find a manual or a tutorial on how to access the ROM settings for these tables. Anyone been able to solve this? Or does anyone have a NVRAM that's set to 1 credit per coin and 5 balls per game? Thank you!

Try hitting the 3 Key.

It adds only one credit at a time.

3 Key= 1 Credit

4 Key= 3 Credits

5 Key= 5 Credits

Thanks, but that's the first thing I tried. Hitting 3 and 4 doesn't do anything (and since I only have a button mapped to "5" on my cabinet, wouldn't work in the long run either).

I tried deleting the nvram to start from scratch, same situation. The game doesn't react to keys 3 or 4.

Ok try this.

I have modified the Play4.vbs file.

All I have done is changed 1 number.

First go into your script folder, and copy your existing "Play4.vbs" file to a safe place.

now download attachment, and extract and place new Play4.vbs file in your scripts folder.

Attached File  Play4 VBS file.zip   1.4KB   10 downloads

Run table, and now you have the 5 key giving 1 credit per coin.

Not sure how this will react with other Playmatic tables, but should be fine.

If you run into problem, you can always copy your old Play4.vbs file back into scripts folder.

Thank you, that helps - to an extent.

It now inserts one coin at a time, but now I've got the weird problem that every now and again it only adds a credit at every second or third press, or sometimes it only registers when I press long rather than short. Weird.

That is how all 3 credit keys acted for me on this table even before the editted vbs.

Then I'll leave it like that. It actually fits well with the whole janky grindhouse theme of the table :)
