Kicker always draws on top

kicker drawing order chumbo wumbo

Hey! I've been working VPX trying to wrangle VUKs to work, and while I've now gotten them to work functionally speaking, I'm now running into an issue where they do, well, this:

vp-kicker-issues.png

Both the wire ramp and the oddly-shaped test surface are well above the kicker. (the test surface is just there to make sure it wasn't only primitives that the kicker was drawing in front of) Functionally it works like it's supposed to, but it's looking pretty crap. I've already tried telling it to draw in the back multiple times now, and I've also made sure they're on the bottom layer. Is there any way I can actually get it to draw in the back or am I going to have to just make the kickers invisible?

Primitives/Walls must be non-static if they are above a kicker. For a primitive just uncheck the static rendering checkbox and for a wall use a material with active opacity and amount to 1.

Draw in back, to the best of my knowledge, is only for the editor, not the player

the player draws things in their physical order

Hi Cassbestos,

the behaviour of the standard kicker object is a bit weird. Set it to "Kicker invisible" and place a dynamic, uncollidable primitive for the kicker hole at the position.

Regards

Michael

Worked like a charm! Thanks for helping out, would not have been able to guess that myself lol
