Hi! I've updated Lord Hiryu's fantastic BK 2000 with my preferred layback settings. Everything looks great except when the balls are locked in the left lane on the upper palyfield. Take a look at the picture below to see what I'm referring to:

I assume the issue is related somehow with the kickers but I have no idea how to fix this. This goes well beyond my table editing skills but if someone knows of a solution I'm willing to try and make the changes work by myself.

Thanks!

I have tried to update the layback settings on this table before and i ran into problems as well. Would you mind sharing your layback settings? I will test them out on my cabinet.

Everything looks good with these except the issue I mentioned above.

Yeah, I have the same issue. Almost perfect otherwise.

Check what sort of kickers those are holding the balls. If they're set to 'invisible' and aren't sitting on a ramp, you can fix the ball cut-off with these two steps:

1: Change all the kicker types to 'KickerCup'. You'll now see the balls properly but also the kickers, which you don't want, so:

2: Place a light down onto the same surface as the kickers and custom-shape it to cover the whole area the kickers do. Set the light state textures - on and off - to the same texture image as the surface it rests on, and set the state to 'LightStateBlinking'. The light now continually refreshes itself while overwriting the kickers, so that the balls show up on top, but not the kickers themselves.

Thanks, Eala! I'll try that tonight and will let you know how it worked.

Tried your suggestion and it *almost* works. The light does make part of the kickers disappear but there are still some artifacts left. Any other suggestions that might help?

After much messing around, I just couldn't get it work with the light and kickercup technique. There was a wall there (which is actually what you see through the kickercup holes) that I just couldn't figure out why it was in the way.

Searching through the forums, I found out there was another technique that folks used to use before the light technique became more common. The idea is to have the kickers not on their normal surface but on an invisible wall floating above the actual surface. I tried it and it works perfectly! Here's what you need to do to fix this on BK 2000.

1. Create a wall named "145h" and set it to invisible with a top and bottom height of 145.

2. Place this wall above the top left corner of the table. You'll notice there are already there other types of walls similar to this one (the small squares next to each other) but for other purposes.

3. Make sure the kickers for the lock are of type "KickerInvisible".

4. Change the kickers' surface to "145h".

And voila! That should do the trick.
