Small upgrade but it's amazing what a minor change can bring. Now the Dark Crystal zaps you with a bolt of energy if it doesn't like what you're doing.

Many Special Thanks to JPSalas for once again providing an incredible table that this MOD is based. All base gameplay elements remain the same as Serious Sam with name changes to fit the theme.

All Visual design and Audio edits by Mark Paulik (WPilot).

Just as with Serious Sam this table requires UltraDMD to properly be installed. The setup I'm using has the DMD within the back wall. The DMD is moveable but I can provide no assistance with this if it is moved and stops functioning. Look in the forums for how others have changed the DMD setups for other tables that utilize JPs DMD setups (Slimer, Serious Sam, Pokemon etc)

I have provided an extra art setup for those that do move the DMD and don't want a blank frame where the DMD used to be. This will require you to select the Backwall asset in VPX and change the art to "backwall_v2.png" You can use Edit>Select Element which brings up the Select Window. Scroll down until you see "Wall15" Double click "Wall15" to select it. Once selected: find the Side Image field and change backwall to "backwall_v2" in the drop down menu. Then save the file. When you play your table should now display a similar image with the scientist skekSis only now an image of the Dark Crystal is shown in place of the DMD framing.

There are many playable elements to this table which is a credit to JP's amazing Serious Sam build. If you're not a Dark Crystal fan I recommend you hunt down Serious Sam and try it (he has 2 versions). I have included a PDF Rulebook which follows the Serious Sam rules (only changing the naming of game elements to 
follow the changes of the design)

Lastly, I'm including a ZIP media pack link for those that want to create any PupPack, Pinball menu items or Backglass setups. I didn't create any Backglass element for this because my personal table doesn't have it. I'm sure someone here will be making something fitting.

Hello. I'm playing this table in a cabinet in portrait mode in 4k - I have not modified anything in the script or graphics wise - but the DMD appears to stick out about 1/2" past the DMD area (forward).

 

Not sure if it is "too low" or if it is set too far forward - hard to tell.

 

Is this fixable?

Today JPSalas updated Serious Sam Pinbal with FlexDMD support. Is it possible to update Dark Crystal too? I tried replace scripts but get error

So do we just alias the cGameName  or does the TableName need aliased to since it says serioussam ?
