File Submitted: 10 Oct 2019

File Category: VPX Recreations

Author(s): Rascal and Wizards_Hat
Manufacturer: Other - Not a Pinball

Ten Strike Classic, Benchmark Games, 2003, two players. This is a reissue and copy of the 1957 Williams Ten Strike. This new 10 Strike uses identical cabinet and art as the original, but has solidstate guts and LED style score displays (instead of score reels). Has two bells (one and ten points) for sound. Scores like regulation bowling, or with a flip of a switch, scores like the original 1957 Williams Ten Strike. Made in Korea specifically for Benchmark, and available only in the five foot length (unlike the original 1957 Williams Ten Strike, which came in both five and seven foot lengths).

No rom needed.

Included is the B2S backglass and wheel logo.

Great implementation, good game feeling, nice look but B2s does not work!

I want activated b2s in desktop mode.

Is there a possibility? Which?

Do a replace all on the script with Table1.ShowDT = False to Table1.ShowDT = True. That will allow the B2S to run in desktop mode.

From what I'm hearing some operating systems don't like the () in the name. You may want to rename the table and the .directb2s so that there are no () and you may want to change the spaces to _ too, just to be safe. However, both files should have the same name.

We took her car in to get to get new exhaust put on and she drove my car to her college and some lovely lady decided to blow through a stop sign getting off the expressway and slammed into my daughter which caused my car to hit the car in front of her.

Yeah, Im sure the insurance company is going to stick it to me. I live 7 miles north of the D
I dont know why, but I took 2 pictures of it the morning. This is what it looked like 3 hours earlier.
The car was a beast.
I tried to play the game a few minutes ago and I seems like the coins loads, but wont do anything. I can turn the the music off and on with the flippers. What am I doing wrong?

 Yes, I do!

I still had to replace all on the script with Table.ShowDT = False to Table.ShowDT = True

then everything worked out.

Thanks for your help.

After going in small changes and an additional program my desktop game now looks like this:

press start button? New version coming out where it remembers you score mode choice and your music on/off selection. So all you should have to do after setting those is add a coin and push the start button.

I sorry to be so ignorant, my cabinet has 7 buttons(2 flipper, 2 manga, coin, start and a fire button) and a plunger. I’ve pressed all buttons and nothing happens. When I hit my coin button it only adds to 2 coins, then when I hit the start button the table doesn’t do anything. The credit shows I put 2 coins in.The table looks fun to play but I don’t know what I’m missing.

That's odd. Do you have a launch button too, that is assigned as an Enter button? I made this with the final released vp10.6, is that what you are running? The table doesn't have a rom or anything, so it doesn't call in the controller.vbs file like other rom based tables. The only thing I know is the analog plunger won't start it, it has to be the plunger key or a launch button assigned to plungerkey to start it. After its started it can use the analog plunger to roll the ball. 5 should feed the coin and 1 should start the game and the ball should rolls down the ramp to the right. I'm at a loss.

EDIT: I see now you mentioned that you have a fire button. That's all you should need, I don't get it.

Right Magna = Brings up Option menu (score mode and music on/off menus).

Left Magna = Music on/off

Right and Left shift or flipper buttons move score mode Williams or Traditional, then rotates the man in game play.

Enter or Fire button selects the game mode and rolls the ball in game play.

Analog Plunger can be used for rolling the ball in game play too.

Add coin button usually key 5 for coin.

Start button usually key 1 to start.

That's it. I just uploaded version 1.1 today, if you didn't get that version, maybe try it. I did a bit of changing to the keydown routine in version 1.1.
