Starting with version VPX_5 3376 up to current release VPX_6 3639. The edges of the "shadow" ramps are reflecting light, creating a thin white line cutting through the backdrop image. Many tables like "Faeton" have this shadow rail next to the table side rsils. I'm only seeing it on the right side (probably due to the angle of the environment lighting. I posted this issue with pictures on the vpinball VPX 6 Beta section. I was told to post it on the vpforums developers area. I hope this is the correct place. I want to upload 4 pics - 2 tables both before and after VPX_5 3376 but, I can't figure out how to upload a picture to this post. Thanks. Please give feedback on where and how to report with pictues.

I should have never used ramps for the shadows :) I'll replace them with flashers, as they are not affected by other lights as directly as the ramps. The more 3D lightning and effects are added to VPX, the more we'll need to use the objects for what they are intented to be used. A long time ago we use to use ramps for all kind of things, like lights, flashers, transparent objects, decorations, etc, and the flashers were born to fill the need to have real transparency and additive blend as needed by a light and flash.

So the moral of the story, this is not a bug but a wrong way to use a ramp :) So use flashers for those shadows :)

These lines can also be seen in ball shadows sometimes.

I found a way to fix them in most tables. The trick is to adjust their "z" position. Most of the times, the value is "1". But that distance is big enough for the lines to cast shadows/artifacts. By changing it to 0,1 you still get the ball/flipper shadows as intended but it's so close to the surface that no other shadows or lines are visible outside that.
