Hi Guys,

The "plan" was me and Xenonph to release a new original John Carpenter's Halloween 1978 pinball a couple of weeks ago to coincide with the new sequel / remake / re-potpourri version that came out on October 19th. I might add the new movie was absolutely terrible and IMO a disgrace to how they were promoting it was being done in the same manner as the original ... Just because is made $80 million opening weekend doesn't make it good.

Anyway, life / work got in the way for me, then I had a very sudden death in the family (mother in law) last month. Xenonph also had a tragic / immediate death in the family last month as well, and both of us had to focus our attention on family and dealings.

This put the Halloween '78 pinball on hold.

Because the 'business' of Halloween is sort of a year round job for me, we are determined to still finish the Halloween '78 table sometime in November (hopefully).

I admit I am a little bummed we couldn't release this awesome newly designed / playing table in time for the actual DAY of Halloween this year, but like I said, life gets in the way. But for all of you that have messaged / contacted me about it over the past month, IT WILL BE DONE, SOON!

Thank you for your understanding.

those things happen unfortunately, I for example, also had planned to upload a table for Halloween but it gave me certain problems and for the moment I have it removed even though I did it, it was about the psycho table the movie. thank goodness you said about the halloween table because I thought to do it too, and with yours will not be necessary, we look forward to that table.

Don't worry bro,

I was hoping we could get it done in time for Halloween too bro.

I am sorry I disappeared from the community for a month it seemed.

Which is why I also skipped working on the Last Starfighter table, so we could try to get this Halloween table done before Halloween.
All the sounds and flashers are done on Starfighter table. Just needs graphics.
So the community has 2 tables to look forward too, in the near future.
Just take your time bro, and don't get stressed.
You have a business to run, and taking care of family comes first in my book.
We both had family tragedies that hit us like a brick.
I am so sorry for your loss, and pray you are able to find happiness and peace in your life.
It was, and still is very hard for me to accept my brother is gone.
I have cried for many weeks and still cry even today.
My brother wouldn't want me to be sad everyday.

And I am sure your family wouldn't want you to be sad everyday either.
So I am doing the one thing that I love to do.
Working on these pinball tables brings me a happiness that can't be described.
I also love to help people when I am able.
It may look like I haven't been doing anything, but I have been lurking in the shadows helping alot of different people with their pinball projects.
I also redid my GIJOE table.
I am also thinking of redoing all the NFL mods in honor of my brother Dan.
I didn't know how to add timers to script back then, and the sounds sound like crap to me now.
No wonder sliderpoint added the mod sounds off option in table script!! lol

Just take your time bro, and don't feel pressured.
We will get these awesome tables completed when we are ready, and I can see many more kick-ass tables in our future.
Just do what makes you happy my friend.
That's what counts.

I am sure everyone understands what we both have went through.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Keep on Pinballin'

Charles

Hello all,

As many of you know, both Xenonph and I have had some major obstacles / tragedies happen in both our private lives over the past few months ... work, death in the family, illness, etc. But after everything bad that hit us, we both were able to come out the other end of the dark tunnel.

We have diligently been working on our 'Halloween 78-81' table. This original table layout is from JP Salas' - Bally Medusa table he did a while back (thanks JP). This new design is heavily modified from the original and every graphic, plastic, and primitive has been redrawn at a 2k & 4k resolution for a very clean new table.

All elements (images, music, sound, etc) are culled / pulled from the original Halloween (1978) and Halloween II (1981) movies .. which in my opinion are the best and only true original ones. As always, I do the graphics, and Xenonph does all the beautiful lighting and sound work ... a true collaborative process. For anyone that is a fan of these movies ... this should be a real treat!

We still have some work to do on the table to finish it for final presentation, which is about a week or so, but I thought it would be a good time to show some screenshots of the progress thus far. These are NOT the final versions as we may still make some additional changes, but they are very close.

Final release will include: Table with multiple lighting options, Animated Backglass in 4x3 and 16x9 aspect ratio, DMD Videos, DMD Image Files, Wheel Icons, and music files.

Stay tuned.

This is brutally nice looking! My favorite horror "hero" is Myers:) Since there was no vpx yet, I made a Halloween version in the summer. But it looks more murderous! :) I can't wait to try it. Thank you for your work! Bravo!
