Thanks for you comments! :)

Yes, I used jpg for the plastics and playfield since I hate those perfect redraw images, so I used mostly pictures from the real table, and they all are in jpg, so there was no point in save them as png :) Although I saved the jpgs at 95% to do not add too much jpg artifacts. I also use vpx ramps and a lot of walls, no primitives, so i save some file size there too :)

There are some primitives in the table, of course, like the dome flashers, the pegs, the head, and the diverter top (which is from, cough, cough,  the FP table :) )

Thanks jp i wanted that one in vpx so bad :D

Yes, I also wanted to play the table in VPX :) I think this table is a lot of fun, with many different sounds and music. I also think there is a lot of variation in the game play.

I am also using a lot of jpg lately, for my WH2O build. Although for another reason: my images get more than 10 mb a piece ( playfield, plastics, etc). This is due to blender rendered inserts, shadows, refraction. With jpg filesize is much smaller and I use max quality in photoshop (100%). I even tested on big textures and there is no visible difference between png and jpg for these textures.

Only textures not in jpg are images with transparency (jpg does not support this I believe). VPX does not support any other jpg like format that supports transparency as far as I can find.

Another great one by JP. I'm always amazed how small his tables are. But they look damned good. :love39: :dblthumb: :otvclap:

Big thanks for this again fantastic table ! :otvclap:

I got a ball stuck in two different places as shown below (I use last version of VPX 10.4)

1- below the right ramp

2-inside the box of the right ramp, or below it, I'm not sure

Thanks for the info, I'll take a look to see if I find anything that could cause that. One question: do you have the "Elements Detail Level" lower than full? The ramps behave different if that value is lower then full, and I have not tested the table with low settings.

yeah PNG is the only one that has an alpha layer.... my biggest fear is JPG's will spread from builder to builder, and over time it being "resaved" it has the tendency to degrade and start adding artifacts little by little (the nature of the beast).... PNG does not have this tendency it never changes.... (if saved as a png from the first save).... does this effect the end user??.... no... this is more an issue that could catch up with the builders...
but back to JPG's.... when saving anything in PS as a jpg,  it can be saved for 0-12 compression level.... 9-11 all save around the same size, so if I'm forced into using a JPG I save it at 11 (add spinal tap joke)
my 2 cents

Yes I had the ball get stuck inside the diverter box too.   A nudge got it loose.

Yes, a nudge helps to get the ball out. I have this issue one time.

I think I know why the ball gets stuck sometimes under the diverter. It is about how the wire ramps are designed. I'll fix that by changing the small wire ramp to a normal flat ramp, make it invisible, and add the same wire ramp just for looks. I had to do that on the second ramp from the temple. I guess lowering the wire ramp should work too. It feels to me like the sides of the wire ramps can't never be 0.
