Hi,

Have an RBION question. So I played RBION on Pinball Arcade, and in that game when earning and extra ball, the jamaican shrunken head voice screams in a grandious fashion: "EXTRAAA BAAAALL!" after the little animation of the Ripleys character runs away from the pinball that is about to crush him to deah (read, the voice of the shrunken head screams Extra Ball AFTER the animation has completed (as in, as the text "EXTRA BALL" is displayed on the DMD

I recently bought a Ripleys in real life and find that on the real thing the shrunken head voice says EXTRAA BAALL immediately and AFTERWARD, the animation plays of the guy running from the ball and the words Extra Ball are displayed on the DMD in silence. I thought it was my game at first, but after looking at real tables on youtube, and Papa tutorial videos of Ripleys at PAPA HQ, it's like it is on my game, the voice says it first and then the animation plays after. I haven't seen what happens on Visual Pinball as I can't get it to run well for me.

My question, in your experience, is it like it is on my RIpleys or is it like it is on Pinball Arcade's version? Could it be possible Pinball Arcade edited the rom file and tweaked it to be unique?

Comments?

Thanks!

Jojo

So TPA is not a full emulation but they have to secure rights to the tables they want to release? Is that only because they are actually selling them for profit?

It may be that some of there platforms don't have the power to do full emulation.

also in Tales of the Arabian Nights you can't buy in (need to trun it on) as there is no start button mapped to the game. Also Rom sound volume control still does not work.

Why pay more and get less?
