This is the perfect opportunity to do this,  so I have taken the 40 tables offline, (with one exception those that have been modified), so as to edit one by one to extend the compatibility between all formats FS/DT/FSS all in one file, they will appear 1 by 1 over the course of this process as to improve the feedback process on one table at a time scheme rather than my bulk approach of the past.

THIS THREAD IS AN EXPERIMENT TO MEASURE THE INTEREST FOR COMPLETE SINGLE SCREEN PINBALL TABLES.

IF YOU LIKE THIS IDEA AND ENJOY THEM PLEASE LET VPFORUMS KNOW BY ACKNOWLEDGING IT IN THIS THREAD.

special notes:

1 * All settings on these tables are maxed out.. lowering them MAY have untested side-effects unknown to me.

2 * You need to use the current beta build of VP(provided here)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

---->>> VPX_3_beta_rev3051.zip  <<<------ MUST DOWNLOAD TO USE THESE TABLES

---->>> IF LINK TO FILE IS DEAD and IT PROBABLY IS GO HERE  : Get Me Some....<<<------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3* For FSS you must select an appropriate display size in video options. You can(not required) rotate your display in AMD or Nvidia control panels  to play   in portrait mode. Landscape mode resolutions follow the list of Portrait mode resolutions in video options. Portrait mode (larger number second : height ) , landscape mode (larger number first : width) . Any resolutions inferior to 1920x1080 will not yield any Portrait mode resolutions when in landscape view.

----------------------------------------Make sure this feature is NOT enabled-------------------------------------------------------

4 * If anyone detects a problem with the tables please notify me, in the code contact a VP dev.

5 * These are still WIP, so things may change, and or change as problems arise.

6 * Not advised to modify the lighting via use of day/night slider, modded for night play.

7 * Everything works Tables,EM, DMD, backglass, etc...  only speakers don't work.. ;)

Is this the VPX table?  VPX doesn't really need night mods... you just turn down the lighting slider and maybe adjust intensity on the lights.  I'm probably missing something as to what's been modded.

@drybonz yes its a VPX and yes you can turn up and down light intensity as you like but that can get messy very quickly , and impossible to get the results I work for, what I do here is much more involved as you craft every light individually, to mimic realism as best you can. Also add or change many other things to get it just right (based upon a real world model I use as a reference) .

Scotty , thx for the thumbs up!

I'd take it up with WRD.

You should get on the SolModCallBacks. You'll be missing some flasher effects without them :). I have a fading script based on JPs if you want it.

Video of Big Guns requested by chockee is posted in the first post of the thread. And this time its on youtube, and again sorry about the quality, I'm not in control of that.

youtube kinda ruined the big finally , by reducing the frames it makes it look like frames are being skipped, but it doesn't in gameplay.

For sure that's what its all about, I need to finish up the 7 seg display stuff, and the emreel rewrite and then I will release them , but Like I said I still need to ask for permission first, so all of that may take some time.

I like this view because it's more portable, you can play it on a laptop if you want, IMHO I don't like just the table top without the backglass, it diminishes the experience.

So just an update post, was on vaikai for two weeks in the sun, Finally got the 7 seg displays working in all tables, have done a huge amount of table LED lighting rework, TOM is like... Wow!, and backglass work,  almost done with TOTAN , Congo was a particular pain, it alone took at least 72 hrs of work to get it right,  so only five to go to post first batch. Hope you enjoy the pics.

EDIT: oh yeah I need to work on an issue with flashers, for some reason when using overlay filter, flashers stop working properly on the lower 1/4 of my backglass , will be fixing that in the VP code.

EDIT: now I remember I'm still not very pleased with scared stiffs lighting.. grrrr... still needs work!

I totally agree about not having the backglass when playing DT view table diminishes the experience. I have been using the dB2S backglass program for 1 monitor DT usage so I can get the best DT Table experience of having working backglass and table on same screen. No its not the same as a cabinet experience with huge screen of backglass, but it does complete the full experience of the pinball tables for us DT users.

Playing a DT version table without a working backglass on same screen is like missing half the table. It is a vital part that should be included to get the full pinball experience.

They look great!!

I specially like the Xenon and Congo!!

Keep on Pinballin'

adding totan, thx for the feedback guys, as I have already stated I'm not really re-inventing the lighting just going by what i find on the net, the examples are often from TNT Amusements youtube channel.

I have probably givin' up on Medieval madness , the lighting is just too full of attempted mixed lighting mechanisms, I will need to totally rework it like congo, placed on backburner for a later release.

Won't be doing much backglass stuff with this one, only like 5 tiny, and one big light  that flickers...

I hope you can puplish !!! - looks very good - :love39:

I think is the missing option for playnig great VPX tables with backglass on a monitor vertical.

(If you have only one monitor)

startrek%E2%80%93thenextgenerationtversu

Only study

I play horizontally with the programm WinSplit-Revolution.

dB2s is set to the left  (the size dependet on the screenres.txt)

table is set to the right (before table must be over wide (editor backdrop settings))

@haggi that is what I am aiming for , I have a 42 inch TV in game mode that I turn up vertically to play my tables, its great to see all the details and the great graphics artists have made for these tables, they look phenomenal! and the beauty is I also turn my OS in vertical mode , so I can still use it to work.
