File Name: Godzilla (SEGA 1998) DT (Rosve 1.2) Xenonph MOD

File Submitter: xenonph

File Submitted: 09 Feb 2017

File Category: VP/VPinMAME 9.x - MOD Tables

Author(s): Rosve
Xenonph (MOD)
Bolt (MOD)
Manufacturer: Sega
Year: 1998
ROM: Link to ROM
Media Pack: Link to Media Pack
Permission to MOD?: Unspecified

A mod of Rosve's Godzilla FS version.
I first want to thank Rosve for giving me permission to make these mods.
BIG THANKS SIR!!!
Check the original table for more info. I'm sure alot of time and effort went into making this table, and it is deeply appreciated, so all credit should be directed his way.
Find original table here...http://www.vpforums....&showfile=7582#

I first started this mod because I didn't see a DT version of Rosve's Godzilla here.(The FS mod is more of a FIX than a Mod.)
I then noticed the ramp behind Godzillas head wasn't functioning properly. So I fixed it. i removed a segment of the ramp that seemed like the ball was stopping on, and stretched out the next segment which had a wider opening. I then noticed the right side wall of the ramp wasn't checked collidable. So now the ball doesn't get stuck under the plastics, or go off ramp.
I also repositioned the 2 flashers in upper left near the Godzilla head. When they were activated the green ramp would show through the head partially. Now it doesn't. Same with the red flasher, it kept interfering with Godzilla head.
Adjusted flashers position for DT version.
I raised the "Size Does Matter" light from behind the buildings.

I made 2 versions.
DT Version A has chrome sides.
DT Version B has dark sides.

I also added Color-DMD settings in the script.(Copied from online spreadsheet.)

Hope you enjoy, and remember to thank the original Author of this table. I just made a couple of fixes to there masterpiece. They deserve all the credit!!

When you have the table loaded, click F1 on your keyboard, This will bring up the ROM menu for Godzilla. (If you want to change all ROMS to color, click your setup.exe for PinMAME and you will see the same menu when reinstalling.)

After hitting F1 on keyboard with table loaded you just checkmark the Colorize DMD (4COLORS) and click OK.

You should now have COLOR DMD.

If you don't see the Colorize DMD on the menu, then you need a newer version of PinMAME.

Hope this helps you Sir.

Thanks xeonph for all the great conversions you've been making!  I am confused about which file I should use.  There are three versions posted:

Godzilla (SEGA) (1998) (Rosve WS 1.3) Bolt MOD v1.0

Godzilla (SEGA 1998) DT (Rosve 1.2) Xenonph MOD v1.0b

Godzilla (SEGA 1998) DT (Rosve 1.2) Xenonph MOD v1.0a

Is the one build on Rosve's V 1.3 the latest, and you dropped the two options (A and B).  Or, is 1.a newer than 1.0??

Versions 1.a looks like this..godzilla(sega1998)dt(rosve1_t.png

Version 1.b looks like this...godzilla(sega1998)dt(rosve10_t.png

I used Rosve's version 1.2 for these 2 versions. Found here..http://www.vpforums....s&showfile=7582

Bolt sent me his DT version for me to upload...godzilla(sega)(1998)(rosvews10_t.png

That version is made from Rosve's 1.3 version not available here.

I only found out that he had made a new version and fixed the Ramp behind Godzillas head, after I had uploaded these.

When Rosve gave me permission, he told me I should check out his other version on another site, but I was so excited to get permission, and I had already had the table mod "FIX" ready for upload. So come to find out, he did make a fixed version 1.3, and fixed ramp,  but the flashers still interfere with Godzillas head on his v1.3.

Thats the only reason I didn't take these mods down.

Sorry for the confusion Sir.
