File Name: Guns N' Roses (Data East 1994) Physmod5

File Submitter: markrock76

File Submitted: 26 Aug 2016

File Category: VP 9.x MOD Cabinet Tables (FULL SCREEN)

Author(s): Lord Hiryu
JP Salas
Teppottee
Batch
MarkRock76
Manufacturer: Data East
Year: 1994
ROM: Link to ROM
Permission to MOD?: Yes, with approval

I know, I'm as disappointed as you are that this is not a from scratch rebuild VPX version of Guns N' Roses.  The table may be quite dated graphically but I find the current version to be a lot of fun and I just set about converting it to Physmod5 so I could hopefully hit the ramps and targets a little more consistently.  I can even back hand from the right flipper in to the Add a Band Member hole.  It's hard, but it can be done.

I started with Batch's Desktop version which I believe is a mod of Teppottee's Full Screen Version which of course is a mod of Lord Hiryu and JP Salas's VP8 version.  (Thanks for the permission to mod from the Permission to Mod thread and thanks for all the previous work done on this table.)  I had to adjust a lot of physics settings in coverting this to physmod.  I've never played the real table but I watched a lot of you tube videos.  I also moved some flashers and added some and redid the captive ball.  Thanks to GTXJoe for the help with the bumper flashers.  I don't know how to do much with VP but I did what I could to hopefully create a fun to play version of Guns N' Roses.

Note: This table uses the Plunger Mod Physmod version of VP9.9.  I do not think it will work with the non plunger mod version.  Get it here if you do not have it.  http://www.vpforums....showtopic=30971

Known issues with table: Ball Rolling sound does not work and I am not sure what to do to get it to work.  Also, sometimes playfiled lights will go off and come back on when the ball enters or exits kickers.  I'm sure there is a fix for this also, but I couldn't figure it out.

The download link doesn't work.  Can you upload the table in another way?

I edited the upload to include a link to the physmod plungermod and I guess it broke the download until it gets reapproved.  I might try to tweak a few more physics as it looks like in the video something happened in the right lane that I never noticed before with a ball getting stuck.

For some reason, when I click on it, it wont open. Are you using a certain program to record?

Ok thanks.

Every recorder i have used causes the recording to stutter. Likely due to low HP CPU. I will try that one.

Sometimes it only takes hours for approval. I have had mine approved within hours a couple of times.

Maybe they are busy with other things.

It took 9 days for the NFL Giants Mods I made to be approved.

They usually approve these as quick as possible I would imagine, but if you are not a VIP member, it may take them longer.

(They don't need to check VIP members downloads for any viruses or things like that, as they have earned the VIP Title and are trusted members.)

I would imagine they try to do it at least once a week, so they arent trying to check uploads everyday for approval.(Maybe they dont have time to check uploads daily.)

Hang in there.

I am sure they will approve it as quick as possible.

Great looking table too!!

Does anyone know how to remove the flipper sounds for this table? With DOF the flipper sound through the speaker is quite loud.

Click on table -> sound manager. Scroll through the list and delete the flipper
related sounds.

That did it, Tanks Joe.  Amazing how spoiled you get when the newer script is built in for DOF
