I thought that if I stripped the VP8 table and completely rebuilt the code I could somehow get the High Score to work.
Unfortunately the VPX version still has the High Score broken.

this is a wide body,  the FS settings do not fill the screen.   You are more than welcome to change the settings if you like the table to fill the screen,(this will work the image)

This is really fun to play. Thank you for your work on it.

The left spinner doesn't register any points when activated. Can anyone confirm that this isn't just a problem on my system? Thanks!

[Update - I changed the left spinner name from spinner to spinner0 and updated it in the script. Working perfectly now.]

Here is my problem with VPX Superman. The table loads and plays but stays in attract mode. How do I solve this?

Do the credits increase when you press 5?

Credits only increase when I press 3 twice and that gives me 4 credits. I then press 1 and the game plays and scores correctly except all the lights are flashing like in attract mode. When I score a letter or number they then stay lit.

If I recall the machine activity correctly, the lights for the letters and number do remain flashing during game play until you score them.  Then they stay lit.  That is normal for this game.

Again, that is the way the machine behaves.  It is normal (from what I remember)

I don't remember this so I youtubed this and you can see the difference between https://www.youtube....h?v=gmgCOrPmICs. When I play superman it looks like the 1st second of the video (before the ball ejects) and not the rest of it. I played this before in VP and did not have this problem (different computer).

your rom settings might be in free play,  make sure you press F6 and  make sure their is a check on the FreePLay box

and I don't know if this machine needs to call the 3 key for credits,  I updated my VPMkeys so that all my tables take the 5 key for credit.

and finally your problem,

the lights are controlled by Pinmame the only thing I can do is set a Light ID to match the rom ID.

Their is absolutely nothing I can do to change this or fix this in the script or VP installation.

if you are having problems this table its your VP installation and (or)  your PinMAME set up.

I suggest you re install your VP installation

I'm currently running this set up

http://www.vpforums....&showfile=11573

DO NOT INSTALL THIS IN YOUR PROGRAM FILES FOLDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

create a folder in C:\Visual Pinball  or C:\Emulators\Visual Pinball

this pack install everything for you

bally ram

the latest VBS scripts

the latest PinMAME

B2s Server

all you have to do is

-update your PinMAME.dll if you want to play Stern tables

-update your VPMkeys.vbs if you want all your tables to use the 5 key for credit.

-drag and drop all your roms in the PinMAME rom folder
