I present another fine Future Pinball table now given the DOFLinx treatment:

Superman (Ultimate Edition) (SLAMT1LT) (DOFLinx - Cabinet Edition)

A video demonstration of the table running on my cabinet using DOFLinx can be seen here:

This is another fun table that is now even better thanks to DOFLinx.

I added animated RGB flasher effects for:

-Superman Ball Launch

-Machine Gun Fire

-Regenerating Sequence

-Ball Lock

I made use of some combined effects like shaker / blower fan / gear motor and flasher lights.

I made the RGB under cabinet lighting change based on events during play: Krypton Ball, Tilt, Fight, etc..

Devices supported on this table:

Left flipper

Right flipper

Left slingshot

Right slingshot

Mid field left solenoid

Mid field center solenoid

Mid field right solenoid

Back left solenoid

Back right solenoid

Flasher, outside left

Flasher, inside left

Flasher, center

Flasher, outside right

Flasher, inside right

Blower Fan

Shaker

Gear Motor

Strobe

Beacon

Start button

Coin button

Launch Ball button

RGB Undercab Lighting

Custom Backbox Overlay Frame:

I added a custom "Overlay" frame on the backglass that fits a 16:9 screen perfectly and works with the videos and LCD graphics on the backbox. (which I also relocated to the backbox as they were not visible for cabinet users). If you don't want to use this and prefer the original backbox artwork, then just use the Future Pinball editor...chose Translite...and then "unlock" and drag the "SupermanBG" Overlay off screen..and save the table.

The file is available here:

Great TerryRed. Love SLAM's originals. You are on a roll! Keep 'em coming, my friend.  :dblthumb:

Well the cabinet is back together with the addition of 5 flashers, 2 strobes and a beacon, so I setup this table today, very nice job.  :otvclap:

One error, you've fallen for using English in the colour name when you should be using American.  You have used "Grey" and not "Gray" for the centre flasher.  Same issue in RoboCop.  Being fair, it would have been tricky to see the issue.  I found it because I was running DOFLinx in debug mode and got a strange message that took a little while to chase down.  What I've done to help is update DOFLinx to V4.03 to now show invalid colour names sent from FP for flashers and RGB.

Sadly I am still getting "Pinball Meditation Error" on this, Aliens, RoboCop in areas that make no sense, this is for the DOFLinx and original versions, so nothing you've done.  I'm chasing down why.

Hmmm, normally a "Pinball Meditation Error" is more of an issue with the script of the table. At least that's the only time I see it.

The "Pinball Meditation Error" is an old reference to Amiga computer errors  that would appear. The FP author (like me) used to be a big Amiga computer user back in the late 80's to mid 90's.

Here are my settings:

FP%20settings.jpg

I use SLAM's 2.7 modified Future Pinball.exe (from his site) with an older version of BAM currently (I don't like the newer version's ball, it's very dull in comparison). I know there used to be a limitation with how many "objects" a table could use, etc with the original non modified Future Pinball.exe, so if you are using that, maybe this could be an issue?

I DON'T use any "compatibility" settings for the Future Pinball.exe or BAM in Win 10. (it used to be recommended to use XP SP3 compatibility, but I don't)

I do run everything in my cabinet as Administrator though.

Wow, I didn't notice the Grey / Gray because I was using my center flasher as an RGB undercab light when testing and wouldn't have noticed this. What can I say, I'm Canadian, and we are sometimes confused with which spelling is correct... (I grew up close to Detroit)     :)

DDH69, I know you run windows 10 as do I. I run FP exe in compatibility mode with XPSP3 and set as admin. Before I set compatibilty mode, I had issues. I don't recall exactly what though. Interesting you don't need to do it TerryRed.

Thank you both.  Definitely a graphics setting causing it. I mirrored TerryRed's setting and now can't fault it.  It took me about 1.5 hours of testing to be sure :D

Now back to the tinkering ......   :twiddling:

I have a feeling you may have had the "Render the Game Room" enabled. SLAM uses his own custom game room with his tables, and if you ever use them in desktop mode, you see that sometimes the Game Room will change based on events happening during gameplay,etc..   The new Nightmare on Elm Street table is a good example.

Having "use Texture Compression", "Disable GLSL Shaders" unchecked and having Bilinear Filtering (instead of Trilinear) are needed for proper DMD graphics being displayed if you are using FutureDMD or a real DMD.

I think you're right about "Render the Game Room"
