I have read something about a "Safecracker" German Sound Rom FIle, at ipdb.org there is the Soundfile.

Anyone has it do complete ? Whats the Steps to do here ?

 

Are there other Tables with German Sound avaiable ?

Check and see if there is a German version of the rom file in the download section.  I did not find one for Safecracker, but there are many for other tables

You will need to open the table script and search for the english rom name and change it to the german rom name

Thanks gtxjoe, this Way i had do many times with others.

But i mean the "Safecracker", there is a "German Sound File" on ipdb.org ... and how i put and activate  this in a working VPT System ...

 

Maybe there are other Tables, with extra Soundfiles, ouside all this Roms here.

Hi Stat,

 

i have not tested this, but i think the Safe Cracker 1.8 (Alternate Sound) Rom, which you can download here, already has the German Sound File in it.

When you look into the ZIP, you find a su2-24g Sound File, which i think is the same as the German Sound File you can download on IPDB.

 

In Case it's not, unpack the Rom and try to Replace the two files (changing names accordingly). If that does not work (because PinMame doesn't like the German File) than there is nothing you can do...

unpack the sc_18s2.zip File

 

Delete the su2-24g Rom File

 

Copy the German Sound Rom in the Folder

 

Rename the German Sound Rom to su2-24g

 

ReZip the Rom

 

Give it a try...

BOAH i have it !

 

German Voices in Safecracker ... unzip the sc_18s2 ... take and rename the German Sound File from www.ipdb.org to safsnds2.rom,
put it to other Files and re-Zip all, rename it again to sc_18s2 ... thats it.

Sure, then Chance this in your Script too ( sc_18 -> sc_18s2 ).

 

Optional you Chance the Language to German in the DMD Menu with the 0 Key ...

 

I wonder, am i the first to have this ?

 

Maybe the Admins will update a "German Rom" File to Download ...

boah thats impossible, i cant remember the steps i do last hours ( pc at work ) ...

i Need an expert, anyone will try the German Sound File from www.ipdb.org and "hear German" at the
Beginning of a Game ?

 

Now - at Work PC, there i can see, i have the safsnds2.rom changed in sc_18 ( not ... s2 ),

maybe there were Settings in DMD menu needed ... but: here i have German Voice ...

I do copy all ( Roms, cfg, nv ) and try it again at home

Have it done. Chance the safsnds2.rom in sc_18 too ... phu, a hard one to finish.

Mens, i am on my end, yesterday i start SC - with the same modded roms, same configs, and i hear NO voices ( german no, english no too ), only Game Music and others.

Restart VPT and the same ... i cant believe that, first time i was happy, as i hear German ... i do nothing, start table next days again ... and then this !

 

i will give the First here with a 100% solution, to hear ("Candy Voices" ... SC in German), 10 Dollars - Paypal i think ... that is a crazy Thing ... please take Rom: sc_18 and sc_18s2 and German Sound File from www.ipdb.org and try your Luck, and earn 10 Dollar.

 

This is the speaking Voice, after a Game start, tell you "you have only 25 minutes ... blabla ..." (=this should be in German, EVERYTIME i start the Table), and the other Actions inGame too (some Voices).

 

This should be a real ROM Solutions, please no "Sound File Mod at VPT" ;-)

Hello, I have re-createt the rom file with new sound file.

And the woman and man speaks are in German.

I download the German sound file from ipdb.

Unpack the zip.

Rename the Sound file (S2GERM.ROM) to (safsnds2.rom).

Unpack the Rom (sc_18.zip).

Delete the file (safsnds2.rom) from this set.

And copy the renamed German sound file to the ather roms from (sc_18.zip).

Than zipping the files, the name must (sc_18s2.zip).

Load SC and enter Script, Rename the string (sc_18) to (sc_18s2)

Compile and save.

Pinball are in German.

zocky, thanks for your answer and help ... i do the same onetimes, see post number #12 above.

i tried this way again ... the same, no "candy voices ... 45 minutes blabla ... " ... and others, nothing, only the Music begins 

the good one - everytime voices with the untouched roms, but unhappily in english ...

 

and i played this once before in German, only onetimes ... 1 x at cab, 1 x at pc, 1 x at work pc ... after next day start, NOT

 

had you Closed VP, restart and start "Safecracker" again ?

had you Changed the Display language in "deutsch" ?

before all, delete sc.... nv files ?

in your Rom Folder are ... sc_18 and/only sc_18s2 ?

 

what is your table source ?

hello ,Yes i have close VP ,And start it again it works !

I have not delete the nvram file.

The Table is from vpforums , Safe Cracker_VP9.15_1.01_FS.

And in my rom folder are (sc_18 and sc_18s2 rom file.

Your second "sc_18" is the untouched Rom from here ? Or have you Change IN sc_18 anything ?

 

There is in the untouched sc_18s2 a other Rom File: su2-24g.rom

Sure, Rom changes are ? 7-8-9 possible Ways ... i cant find the right one ...

Maybe i had the right combination sometimes, but maybe forgot to change the GameName in Script, too ... whatever.
