File Name: Ball Sound Demo

Hi,

The ball sound routine You find here is based on rascals original idea. I improved the math side and added some new thoughts. The ball assignment is now done by a trigger, so You can easily apply this to any table even if You do not want to temper with the ball creation routines.

Here You find the original Tutorial description:

Do I have to do this for every table? I have ball rolling sounds but they are just really quiet.

If it ain't broke, it's probably a good idea to take it apart anyway!

I just post here to hear myself type.

I cannot find any actual tutorial on how to set this up. I can find the link to the Ball Sound Demo file, and I see the link to the wiki, but is there some script or something I'm supposed to add to my installation or to each table, or is it already in the tables and I just have to adjust a few settings?

Really ???? http://www.vpforums....als&article=135

Yes, you need to open the table and find the stuff that is mentioned. Should add though. Most tables use some kind of ball rolling sound and it is in its own sub so start peeking under the hood on tables that does have what you're looking for. This is a pretty old tutorial.

Yes, I see that "tutorial" but it is not very helpful for noob's.

The first thing it says is "You receive the following sound functionality: - correct ball velocity will be used (speed vector)." That doesn't tell me what to actually do with this information.

It also says "You just need to place the following triggers on an existing table: - Ball-assignment        --> everywhere a ball can be created (plunger lane, VUKs, holes)"

How exactly do I do this? Where do I put it in the script? Do I just type Ball-assignment and it will work?
