***********************************************************************************
10 year anniversary of BRONCO BUSTER (flippered version) rev 3.0
Revised for VP v9.15 or higher by starman, September 2013
***********************************************************************************

Original table by tiltjlp (John L. Patton) and SDB (Scott Bermel) 2003
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Special thanks to John and Scott for their approval to release a BB revision.
- 'rosve' for B2S -
- 'Pincode' for her nice suggestions, testplaying and rules proofing -
- to everyone in the VP forums for their shared knowledge and experiences -
Without you this table wouldn't exist in this way! -

What's new (rev. 3.0)?

* Fullscreen & B2S
* Slot machine on the backglass (new symbols)
* all graphics revised
* physics
* script revised
* rules adjusted (highest number of balls = 9)
* complete thorn lights are easier to achieve
* high score sticker (as usual on starman tables)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update rev 2,1
* Graphic/redesign
* EMReel score
* Reward (random as well as influenced)
* Highscore and save routine
* New target bank
* Double value: both targets and circled bumpers
* Add-a-ball feature
* Music (not required but definitely recommended)
  includes on/off option by Up-courser-key
* Sound edited

IMPORTANT NOTES:
---------------------------------
This table don't have tilt mechanisms and no coin in,
just press "1" to start.

Music yes / no is normally toggled by the up-arrow-key.
That feature is DISABLED by the script.

If you like to ENABLE that feature you just have to do some script editing:
Go to line '73' or search for 'keycode = 200' ('200' stands for the 'up-arrow-key')
and INCLUDE 7 lines  from line '73' to line '79'
Now you are able to control music on/off by pressing the 'up-arrow-key'.
The music will start randomly after about 2 seconds when on.

ORIGINAL SCORING VALUES & BRONCO BUSTER RULES
*****************************************************************************
5 ball game with multi ball (2) and Add-a-ball feature
Upper circled bumpers = 250 or 500
Green bumper = 5,000 (normal mode) or 20,000 (multiball mode)
Yellow side bumpers = 250
Outlane bumpers = 50
Upper side targets = 250
Upper target banks (each four) = 1,000, 2,000, 3,500, 5,000.
Awards 1 lock and 7,500 when either bank is completed
Triangle trigger lights = 100 and 1000 bonus when all lights are lit
Spinners = 10 per spin
Slingshots = 10

The two banks of four targets on either side of the upper playfield
score increasing points, and when all four targets in a bank are down,
the next shot through the lane awards 7,500 points and 1 lock.
Once 3 locks are collected, the green stop at mid-point on the right
side of the playfield drops, and you have access to the multi ball kicker.

Hitting the multi ball kicker produces a new ball in the plunger lane.
When that ball is launched and reaches the gate, the locked ball will
be released. During multi ball, the green bumper blinks, and awards
20,000 points per hit.

*****************************************************************************
REVISION ADDED SCORING & RULES:
*****************************************************************************
Green left drop targets = 250 or 500
Complete green left drop targets = 5000 or 10000

YELLOW SIDE BUMPERS:
Left bumper = Upper circled bumpers value 2x
Right bumper = Upper circled bumpers value 1x

GREEN TARGET BANK ON THE LEFT:
Dropping all three targets activates one thorn light.
Complete all 24 thorn lights (cactus) awards 100,000 (+ 1 ball)

TWO NON-DROP TARGETS:
Left target (orange-red): green target bank on the left value 1x
Right target (green): green target bank on the left value 2x

REWARD (red-, blue- and yellow reel box on the backdrop
with the same colors as the bumpers and three symbols each):
The blue symbols in the third row will be activated by hitting the blue bumpers
...and so on.
One of these will stay on during the entire play until the ball is drained.
Reward will only be added after if the ball in play drains.

Receiving reward:
i.e.: First row / cowboy shoe
    + second row / cowboy shoe = 50,000
    + third row /cowbox show  =100,000
                           the total reward would thus be = 150,000

Highscore: 1,999,000 (+ 1 ball)
Add-a-ball: ...500,000 / 750,000 / 1,000,000 /1,500.000/2,000,000/ 2,500.000/5,000.000 (+ 1 ball each score )

End of values and rules

It's intended that the ball should roll fast. Finally the ball embodies a bullet in this case.

Given the fact, the ball can be lost only through the middle and in addition that the table can be nudged without running the risk.

I've been using the speed a little exaggerated.

For some the ball moves perhaps a little too fast. To remedy you should adjust the value of "dampening speed". and "dampening friction" (editor -> backglass adjustments on the right)

DS of about 75  and DF of about 0,84 should help there already. The ball moves then still quickly, but too much better control.

If you lower the ball speed too drastic, the "outlane" bumpers don't work properly. Finally those bumpers are intended to shoot the ball through the upper target alleys.

Hope that helps.

Walter
