this thing needs to be updated for the fact that visual pinball does not install pinmame no more, and hyperpin does not install at all, just unzips and thats it. i love this help file but it will confuse you if you dont have the real old visual pinball install and hyperpin does no install just unzips.
thanks
thanks

It will be updated soon .... I have been told
I came across it wading through my archive and thought it would be usefull for many as a reference.
You install all the parts once .. once done you don't touch it anymore until something goes wrong with your system and after a restore, it partly doesn't work any more (sound familiair)?
Than this document could come in handy ..
Cheers,
FD.

i just know that 2 weeks ago i started with this help file, at first its all good, i got all the required files ect.. then when it get to installing visual pinball, it looks nothing like the help file and does not ask about installing pinmame no more. then when u get to the hyperpin section, it says install hyperpin and shows pics of it but it just unzips with no setup file included. the rest of the file is perfect. easy to use and super helpful, but i recall freaking out when the instructions didnt match what was on my screen

I will be updating this soon once I get my hands on Windows 8.
I am currently looking for suggestions on how I can help make it better.
Please post any comments in the thread @ http://www.vpforums....724#entry197731

Just my 2 cents here:
Perhaps instead of making more comprehensive tutorials/guides to install a base VP installation, the VP installer could be enhanced, which could eliminate numerous steps in the installation process. An ounce of prevention is a pound of cure.
For Hyperpin installations(which gets more complex), yes, things get a bit more complex, but for getting a regular VP installation to play desktop tables, that could be refined a bit.

I just purchased a license for installer creation software.
It's in the works.

It's going to be a COMPLETE install of everything. One for desktop users, one for cabinet users.

Hi Flying.
I was wondering if you would be interested in translating your book / manual into Spanish.
If you agree, we can provide users retrovicio the book in Word, or any editable format, and we would work with us to do the translation.
How about the idea?
I created this thread in the forum for users to go retrovicio indicating progress.
