Love this table! Great backglass artwork too!
Brings back memories from when I was around 12,puttin' my nose against the glass trying
to read all the inserts trying to figure out the rules! wub.gif

Thanks for the B2S version Roger!

Thanks Roger, for some reason this one gave me some micro stutter with UVP, so now I can play it again in full speed! Can't wait!

This is one of my favourite tables, and my stutter has now gone......thanks.

I do have a couple of questions for you Roger.

The playfield is a worn looking one compared to the one on JP's release. I like it, reminds me of the one I used to play.
Was this the reason you used it?

The right flipper looks slightly higher and angled different, again any reason for this?

Time for some honesty......B2S has given me some beautiful backglasses and saved me from upgrading my computer because of stutter,
but I sometimes prefer the original numerics to what you do to B2S. I changed the hidden command and overlaid the DMD over the B2S screen.
So I get the best of both. I don't know how much work goes into coding the B2S numerics, and I don't mean to sound disrespectful of your work. It's just a preference.

Most of your B2S mods are left untouched.

Your work carries so much respect, and I'm very much grateful.

Thanks

The playfield images are the same as in JPs original build, I made some very minimal changes only.

I need to look at the flipper angles, I did not change them so it's JP settings. He probably tuned the flippers to overcome some of the well known weaknesses in the VP physics.

You are right about the LED segments, I'm planning to update my LED code but It's a fairly big job and I have to wait till I have more time to really think it through.
It is very difficult to get the same refresh rate as in the vpm window due to all the IPC bottlenecks but the look will be improved by replacing the simple lines to filled polygons.

/Rog

I noticed the same issue with the right flipper. I opened the original JPSalas table in VP and copied down the position and physics settings for the right flipper and then applied them to the b2s table. They were different. Worked like a charm and now the right flipper is right on. FYI

Not sure if it really matters but the left flipper settings for the physics are also different. But be careful, changing this may not lead to an improvement!

Rog, not trying to kiss your butt here LOL but the LED numerics may not be like the originals but they still look pretty good (and nothing wrong with your opinion OuchTilt, just stating mine too).

You know what this table is missing.....

The clunking noise when the party monsters boogie (another one of my vivid memories)

It can be seen at 2.55 in this video

I suppose this could be added easily if we could get a good sound sample.

For FS, maybe the plunger can be moved down to line up with the instruction cards - http://ipdb.org/show...d=782&picno=752
I understand why it's always so far up the table - because for a desktop, the cards get cut offscreen, but for FS it just looks a little strange having all that dead space below the plunger.

The backglass and table looks excellent. Thanks!

Build a fire, vipers love the heat.

This table had the BBQ lights placed under the plunger. I removed the lights but didn't change anything else. There are a few other things I need to change as well so I am going to update this table when I have time, hopefully later this week.

When the boogie monsters are activated I thought JP's table makes a sound as they jive up and down (metalhit2). I think this is the section from the script:

Sub SolBoogie(Enabled)
If Enabled then
PlaySound "Metalhit2"
f14.IsDropped = 1
f14a.IsDropped = 0
else
f14a.IsDropped = 1
f14.IsDropped = 0
End If
End Sub

Is it possible to change the volume on this table? If so, how?

Great work on this one! Really a good one to play!

The only way to adjust the rom volume for this table is to adjust it through the VPinMAME window, which involves clicking on the VPinMAME window (unhide it if it is hidden), press the tilde key to open up a white box inside the VPinMAME window, use the up and down arrow keys to scroll through the options to get to the audio channels, then use the left and right arrow keys to adjust the channel volume (left arrow key lowers the volume, right arrow key raises the volume) for each channel. When you are through, press the tilde key to close the white box then click anywhere on the table to return focus to the table.

Don't know how this would work with a B2S table, but that is the procedure to adjust the volume.

Hope this helps.
