Radical! VP91x FS1.0.1

Version: 1.0.1
Category: VP 9.x Cabinet Tables (FULL SCREEN)

Author(s): jpsalas, Grizz, hassanchop

Description:
Based on the table by Bally from 1990
First thanks to Leo for suggesting this table and to Grizz and hassanchop for their redrawings of the playfield and plastics. Even if the complete playfield redraw didn't make it into this table, still some of the parts were redrawed by Grizz and hassanchop.

I have included a new plunger sub with support for the analog plunger. Let's see if it works.

This FS version includes higher resolution graphics than the desktop version.

Update 1.0.1 30 April 2011
- build extra high wall around the snake lock (left side of the table) to prevent balls jumping into the plastics and getting stuck.
- rebuild the wall around the center hole.
- build an extra wall at the bottom of the blue ramp.
- made the flipper a little bit stronger, not much.
- fixed the analog plunger subs. Now they should work better. Thanks Hernán for testing the plunger.

Great game!!! Thanx so much!!!!

I don't like the skate or die 1 million times a game though. I never played this before, but thatwould annoy me in the arcade as well.....

That's why I play with the earphones connected, so I only hear a little tiny voice smile.gif Well, it happens I put them on, buts that's not the usual, mostly when I'm testing the sounds smile.gif Speaking about sounds, do you like those new mechanical sounds? I use to have them in mono, but I thought why not try them in stereo?

I was going to ask if the flippers work ok, but I haven't heard anything so I guess they are ok smile.gif They are made of dropwalls, so I though that maybe the ones using an Ati card may have problems with them.

This is so cool !!! I'm wishing to test it tomorrow...thou I never saw this table in the real life ( maybe it wasn't imported to Spain )

That is an added value...making tables without knowing the game.

Any funny words or sentences you can teach me are welcome too !!!

This way I'll learn about pinball but English as well.

Hi JP, I had a ball get stuck on a slow pass through the upper loop, on the playfield, not on the ramp. When I pressed the 'O' key it made a mirror image of the ball but I think I circled the "real" ball that was on the playfield. A few Nudges got it back into play.

Todd.

Thank you JP, Grizz and HassanChop.
This is one wild table. You never know where the ball will end up with all those ramps.

You guys really pulled this one together.
Thanks again.

Christmas came eary this year!!!

This is a rare game to find in the wild and a great one to boot. Bally buried their parts when they got bought by Williams so many of the parts to this game are Unobtanable including the ramps.

This is what Visual Pinball is all about, bringing back the Dead....

Thanks-- JP, Grizz, HassleMassle otvclap.gif , and everyone else involved in this Project!!

Ok, I've found another bug. I was playing and had a ball locked in the SNAKE hole. I shot another ball into the SNAKE, once it hit the trigger the other ball come shooting out. The ball bounced back and went on top of the plastic. Could not bump/tilt the ball loose.

The first ball got stuck in the red area that I have circled on the attached image.

Hi Jp,

I found them a bit weak on my cab so I tweaked them a little:

Bottom Two Flippers:
Strength: 0.18
Elasticity: 0.65
Recoil Vel: 20

Top Two Flipper:
Same tweaks as above, except strength: 0.17

I also changed to the jp_chrome ball.

I find this works really well on my cab!!
Cheers,
Maceman
