The score on Godzilla was a monster score. That term is fitting for the table name/theme of course, but more than 3 times higher than the 2nd all time highscore on pinemhi and almost 10 times higher that the 2nd highest score set by the same person on pinemhi.

We can only assume everyone is playing fare. I personally would not get any satisfaction from cheating to achieve the highest score, since the complete challenge is then gone for myself. There can be a lot of factors at play here… there are multiple table versions available and achieving higher scores on some may be easier than on others. Also… the way you play these tables… I play mostly in VR, which I find easier than desktop mode. Also playing on a cabinet where you can nudge better, and have a larger playfield, also is easier. Furthermore, you can play with different rom settings. On some you can change the difficulty level and on some it is even possible to increase the number of balls or use buy-ins at the end of a game. All this cannot be detected by pinemhi I think.

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to know if you are missing some roms that you want supported for pinemhi leaderboard ?
The games must be in pinemhi leaderboard already though.

For instance a new rom has come up for whirlwind that is being used by a newly created whirlwind table....
Or a german/french/italian version of a rom that you want to use and isn't in at the moment

No prototype roms and very early versions and so on

Let me know here in the thread and perhaps I can add them to the next release

Spectrum is the new 5-minute challenge and I also had a look at the leaderboard for the regular high score of this table… a score of 9.999.999? 2nd score is only 968.980. That cannot be right?

Hi Joop...ehhhh I mean P@trick of course ;)

Good call, thanks for letting me know
I deleted the score from the database

It was his first score submitted for that table, so maybe something is a bit buggy when using the rom for the first time.
No strange scores on the other tables for that person so i don't think it was intentional

Would have been nice if he reported it himself of course :)

Some time ago the same thing happened on a first usage of table/rom, different table though
This was reported by the user itself with the request deleting the score

Feel free to contact me here or send an email when that happens with one of your scores or you see something odd like this

Thanks again for letting me know Joop ehhh P@trick :)

I've just experienced it as well. I played a few games, but my score of 9,999,995 needs to be removed. I'm not sure what happened.
This will make me the Joop, but Patrick will take over that spot soon. :drinks:

Ever since my HD crashed in my cab I haven't got the energy to set it all up again :(
Only scores are from my desktop and no one but me can take first place mwuhahaha ;)  (just testing the new games for the new release)

18 new games for leaderboard but I also started doing some work on pinemhi (haven't been updating that in ages, lots of new roms that have to be included)

If it comes to bumping people to second place I go full turbo mode :) ...the sound of weeping in the far distance just gives me that thrill....am I a bit disturbed ? (that was rhetorical.... it's in my name duhhhh)

@Patrick

Saw your post on tweakers....

The reason for the scores on bk2000 not matching the kiddie challenge is that at the request of some players all the scores before 2020 have been removed.
They were mostly vp9 scores. Players have passed that level before 2020, that is the reason

Players who haven't submitted a acore in a year are excluded from the cup.
Their scores are still in the database and normal listings of scores (Mike mentioned players scores are deleted after a year in the tweaker thread, that's not entirely accurate), just to clarify

And about the BK2000 score
Even i managed and i suck at pinball in general. :)
Just focus on the million points shot

Just keep hitting the left ramp and then at the above playfield try to shoot the ramp at the left again

with multiball you also try to shoot the left ramp at the playfield above.

A bit tedious but it will do the trick i suppose

The reason for the challenges is that you learn the rules of the game and progress because of it ;)

Some kiddie challenges are difficult and require knowledge of the game to enhance your scores
Waiting period should be used for practise...mwuhahaha ;-)

Maybe Mike got a little help to pass that one ;)

As for the feedback that it's to difficult:

I changed the challenge to 6 Million :drinks:

Hope that helps....you just need1.5M-ish more to get it  (easy ;) if you focus on the million shot)

:drinks:

Wtf ??? I spend a lot of time of getting bk200 and now your lowering it? Not fair !

No just kidding. I really don't know how I did it. Thought I had a conversation with you DNA about it years ago. But really can't recall it. Something to do with the upper part of the playfield to get millions, but not sure anymore.

@DnaDisturber, thanks for the explanation on BK2000. Mike’s explanation on Tweakers seems to be correct.

And… feel free to post messages on Tweakers in the VO topic as well. ;-) Mike pointed out to me that you responded here at VPF. :-)

I already started to look up the rules on BK2000 trying to improve my scoring on that table (and not breaking another controller).

About the score needed for the Kiddie Challenge… when you set that to 12 million, was that still in the VP9 era? Has this table become more difficult on VPX? If the difficulty is the same, I would suggest to leave the challenge on 12 million. That way it is also more fair to Mike, who spend a lot of time reaching that score. ;-)

I set my bk2000 with vpx 10.6 or 10.7, not with vp9.
Most table has improved physics and feels much better to play.comes closes to the real life tables (so harder than arcade mode)

I don't mind that the challenge will be set to a lower score. I'm just a guy who wants Tobe grumpy and reply to posts

New version is here  PINemHi and PINemHi Leaderboard v3.6.2

The new version can be downloaded from http://pinemhi.com/

I would recommend to overwrite all files on previous install , maybe rename your old pinemhi.ini first to have the paths and user and code easily copied to the new pinemhi.ini file (and other settings of course)
You should only copy the values from your old pinemhi.ini as there are new settings that need to be in there

Also don't forget to stop pinemhi_rom_monitor before you overwrite the files
Leave the rom section in the new pinemhi.ini intact as this has been altered to work with the newer version of vpinmame as well

Whatsnew:

***************************
PINemHi Version 3.6.2

Important !
Submitting a score can now be done in game using a button/key of your choice or f3 (vpinmame reset).
Best way to do that is after a complete game played.
When you do it in the middle of a game you can get pinball missing message starting a new game.
If you get a lot of missing pinball messages even after completed games revert to the old method (exiting a game)

Apparently the nineties wanted the website back..... ;)

Hopefully the zero's will wait a while before asking it back :)

Could only push it a decade further i think (smartphone isn't happy, have to look into that)

The Golf Tournament is open again , it will close at 31 dec 2024 at 23:59

We should have a winner by then.
Seeing the last couple of weekly golf challenges I know who I'm betting on :)

@DnaDisturber, missing the old layout already as an Internet veteran. ;-)

One suggestion though… the navigation menu with grey buttons and orange text… that’s quite hard to read. Also some other orange texts on grey background. But maybe it is just my eyes don’t like orange texts on grey backgrounds.

Thanks for all the effort you put in this for all of us!

If anyone is having problems with setting scores on Whirlwind, just add this to the pinemhi.ini under [romfind]
Whirlwind (LA-3)=whirl_l3.nv

I already fixed it in the download, so shouldn't happen to newly downloaded pinemhi & pinemhi leaderboard v3.6.2

Hey Buddy,

The romfind.ini file contains some incorrect entries.
I observed this a few weeks ago but assumed it was an error on my part.
Today, I achieved an impressive score in the 5-minute challenge on Spider-Man, but it failed to upload to the website.

The log entry shows:
Detected game with rom description : Spider-Man Vault Edition (V1.01) (Colored MOD)matching romname : sm.nve_101c

but the rom isnt sm.nve_101c, but smanve_101c.nv

The Romfind.ini has the following entries :
Spider-Man Vault Edition (V1.0)=sm.nve_100.nv
Spider-Man Vault Edition (V1.0)=smanve_100.nv
Spider-Man Vault Edition (V1.01)=sm.nve_101.nv
Spider-Man Vault Edition (V1.01)=smanve_101.nv

I think the following entries could potentially have an issue :
New Star's Phoenix (French Speech, Free Play)=nstrpffp
New Star's Phoenix (French Speech, Free Play)=nstrpffp.nv
Spider-Man Vault Edition (V1.0) (Colored MOD)=sm.nve_100c.nv
Spider-Man Vault Edition (V1.0) (Colored MOD)=smanve_100c.nv
Spider-Man Vault Edition (V1.0)=sm.nve_100.nv
Spider-Man Vault Edition (V1.0)=smanve_100.nv
Spider-Man Vault Edition (V1.01) (Colored MOD)=sm.nve_101c.nv
Spider-Man Vault Edition (V1.01) (Colored MOD)=smanve_101c.nv
Spider-Man Vault Edition (V1.01)=sm.nve_101.nv
Spider-Man Vault Edition (V1.01)=smanve_101.nv
