Hi everyone,
Thank you for having me here! I’m new to this forum and already impressed by the community.

I’ve set everything up perfectly: three screens with fully working backglass and DMD videos, the table plays great, and everything seems fine.

The only issue is that the playfield music volume is extremely low, and I can’t find a way to increase it

Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?

Open table in editor, and click Table tab at top, then click Sound Manager from dropdown menu.

Now scroll down to the sound marked "m_main". Highlight it with mouse, and click Position/Volume button on right side of Sound Manager.

Now a Sound Position window will pop up. The far right slider controls the volume for that certain sound.

Try upping the volume and click Test button, until you are happy with the volume.

Thank you for your reply, I had already tried this as well, the volume does not change at any position I put the sliders, the test is always the same, the volume always the same

You could always export that particular sound out of the Sound Manager, and up the decibal level in a sound editor like Audacity.

Then import the sound back into the Sound Manager.

I tried exporting it, I opened it with Audacity and also with Sound Forge, the original file is perfectly normalized and has optimal volume, but when I play it in the game it is not acceptably almost mute

this is the windows mixer while playing with the Ghostbusters board.
The problem seems to be the Virtual DMD, if I move the slider the volume moves, but at 100% it is extremely low, inaudible.

I have 10 other visual pinbal tables and have no problems

You can also increase the volume in the script.

In this table find at the top of the script:

Const SongVolume = 0.3 ' 1 is full volume. Value is from 0 to 1

And change that 0.3 to 1, like this

Const SongVolume = 1 ' 1 is full volume. Value is from 0 to 1

Many, or all, of my original tables have this variable. I always have this variable quite low so I can hear better the voices, as I find the music distracting :)

Do this first :) And if the volume if not high enough then you can increase the volume as xenonph wrote.

Hi, I had already tried this method also, it does not work ! Nothing changes, the volume doesn't go up, I can hardly hear anything

The you should need to check your Windows sound settings. Does other tables work fine? Mostly original tables, like for example my Mago de Oz? Which is a table based on the Spanish rock group Mago de Oz..

JP,

WOW! Thank you for your dedication to all of this! I am so excited to download all your new tables and play them all.

I'm sorry to report yet another "bug", but it looks like you missed the saucer cutout on the PF mesh on the upper saucer of Fan-tas-tic.

It is still functional, yet not visible, and I am starting to believe you are a bit of a perfectionist ;)

:D Decaf? Not a bad idea :D The only problem is that I don't drink coffee at all :D But maybe it is time that my cold gets better, and I may be able to sleep again, not simply cough when I lay down on the bed :D But you can be very productive when you sleep just 4 hours a day :D

Anyway, I think the tables look and play great now :)

Today's upload are my last VPX tables. And now all my 253 tables are updated with my latest fixes and features, and ready for VPX8 :) It has been a long time since I started, in February this year, and at last they are all finished. Only 2 tables have not been updated, because they are games and not pinball, those are Silver Line (a Spanish horse guessing game) and Yamanobori (aka Mountain Climbing Game), a Japanese game.

This is something I wanted to do, to get all my tables to play as good as I can get them to play, and to look as good as I can with VPX8. I have used a few of the new commands available to VPX8, and it has been a joy to use the program. Congrats to vbousquet, toxie and to all who have contributed. Now I'm waiting for the final version and looking forward to 10.8.1 and whatever new version comes in the future :)

I read in a Facebook post about people wondering if it is worth the trouble to download my new updated tables. Well, at least they are worth enough for me to spend 10-11 months updating them. It took many hours everyday.

Anyway, here are the last 57 tables:

Muchísimas gracias, Juan,  por tu entrega y dedicación a este mundo del pinball;  para todos, pero aun más para los que peinamos canas, es una forma de recordar los viejos tiempos, aquellas reuniones en los recreativos en los futbolines... que años...

Muchas gracias por tantas horas de entretenimiento y recuerdos. un abrazo y que paséis unas felices fiestas.
