rev3696 is up:

- fix tab order for bumpers
- example table: reenable 'correct' material on slingshot-plastics and reenable reflections for them, too
- example table: add ball drop sounds by rothbauerw
- add proper dithering to final output buffer
- support 'disable lighting' on primitive playfield
- remove caption and window borders in windowed mode, only re-enable/toggle if ESC menu is brought up

just when I release Sonic without the primitive playfield

"Aprender sin pensar es inútil, pensar sin aprender es peligroso". (Confucio)

Please, if you can help me with a small contribution to update my work team and continue to make more tables I will be eternally grateful.

Still lobbying for a global Screen Space scale setting in video options.

Thanks for the update!

Already on my todo list since a while..

Please let me know what you think about that one.. Is that okay? Too stupid? It was at least the easiest to do, and also finally removes the wrong scaling of the window content (i.e. slight blur in windowed mode)..

I only used that windowed mode in a small screen resolution when I test some tables, as sometimes I load two VPs at the same time and I compare the ball speed, elasticity, etc. Now I can't move the windows as there is no caption :) But it is no big deal as I don't do that very often, I mostly take a screenshot at full screen and compare the tables to see the result of the GI, lights, view angles and the rest of components :) So for me it was better with the caption, but no problem if there are others who prefer the borderless window.

Devs
I know its been asked before, but not sure how long ago. Will it ever be possible to set ball mass in the table properties similar to how we can set pf friction, slope etc?

Unfortunately that's not possible because the mass is a global script variable used in the core.vbs file.

I don't remember if I asked this before or just thought about asking it (yes I'm getting old ;), but would it be possible to have the Import Mesh on primitive objects work so that if I select 10 objects I just have to tell it once which primitive to use instead of 10 times?  I seem to find myself doing this a lot making tables and it would be a great time saver.

Thanks for all your work guys.

The caption is still there, BUT only after bringing up the ESC menu (and exiting it again)..

I think it works fine, takes some getting used to but it's nice being able to toggle it with esc.

I know it's rather stupid as-is, but everything else is too complicated for doing it via a quick change.. And as the caption pops up again as soon as somebody tries to close the window, i hope it's somehow self-expanatory..

2 request, what are the odds of adding in another rollover type.  Like the pic.  (not a great pic)  The hump is centered like a triangle.....  I have a model I did that I can provide, I would just need to have something to compare it to size wise.  Second, for the trigger, could there be an option for the Z scale too?  If you size the x,y smaller, it makes the whole thing really tall.

Isn't the trigger type TriggerWireB the one you're after? The z-scaling option was requested multiple times but the internal architecture makes it really complicated to add just this option to a trigger because other elements share the same code base.

Yeah, looks close.  I'd made my own a while back and needed it again.  Must have not used it because it seemed tall?  Sorry never mind.

Guys, is there a way to check the VPX revision number in the code? I have found the version property but had no luck for the revision. Thanks for some info.

I've just caught up around 20 pages of this thread :D

I've just installed the latest beta (coming from 3592 as it's always been stable), and as others said before, the display order in VPX does not match my Windows display order, so tables are displaying on the backglass. Is there any way around this?

I've reverted to 3592 for now, I upgraded as was having issues with the new Cirqus Voltaire.

Many thanks for the amazing work on VPX, it's incredible :)

did you take a look in the video preferences and tried to change that?

In the code its simply the svn revision that you checked out.

I think the new CV needs some fixes and I hope it is still being fine tuned because it's an incredible table.

I have tried several revisions of VPX (up to the latest 10.6 beta) and still have issues with CV (main issue for me... multiple balls loading into the launcher at once).

Removing the boarders in windowed mode seems fine, but how do i get the player window to always start at a certain position?  After I get the boarder up and can move the window off to the side, it doesn't remember that position so I have to move it over every time.  It would be better if it remembered the position.
