Jk. You made a good alternative of the program I created. Multiple ways to launch the 5min challenge and the normal weekly challenge from PinballX.

Been pushed for time recently with life returning to some sort of normality but finally got round to posting the PinballX plugin https://forums.gamee...table-launcher/. It lets you add pinemhi as wheel entries and should then find and launch the tables for you when selected. Probably most useful for people without spare buttons on the cab to turn 5 min mode on/off as it'll do that for you on launch & exit the 5 min mode weekly challenge.  Thanks Mike for letting me rip off his code

Doesn't crash for me using rom robo_a34 (but score isn't submitted so i guess not supported yet)

Don't know why it'd crash out for you. Are you on the latest pinemhi version?

PINemHi_Leaderboard.exe crash and don't start on my setup

 

problem is fixed with this pinemhi.ini change

 

Replaced the 1 value for -1

Hmmm probably the query takes too long as more players join.
I think it times out... probably have to use parralel processes running

I have setup pinemhi successfully but for some reason it refuses to autostart in windows.

I have added a shortcut to the start folder, but the program never launches...

Joy2Key is setup the same way and does start normally.

do you have any tips on how to resolve this, please? Thanks!

Hi Yskonyn,

This is probably due to that windows isn't fully loaded yet.
It probably needs a litlle delay. If you use a script perhaps a little pause would do the trick

waits approx 62 seconds then launches pinhi

adjust number as needed and adjust path of course

save as a bat file and put the bat file in the start folder

 

You can also try

 

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

go to that path in regedit

Make a new string

name it pinhi

value data would be "c:\path\to\pinhi\pinemhi_rom_monitor.exe"

with the quotes

Mike's script also mentions he has disabled UAC popup. 

Is there a way to make the pinemhi rom monitor a trusted app so I can leave UAC enabled but also let it autostart?

When I use task scheduler I no longer get the UAC popup, but now every time pinemhi rom monitor is called to start I get the following error popup:

 

Error: "ERROR" is not a valid key name. Line 1164: Hotkey,%challengekey%,challengestart,on

 

When I run the file manually I don't get it.

Nevermind, for some reason the executable now works fine by letting it startup via Windows... like in the first time I tried and it then wouldn't. Oh well.

Not sure, i have never had to click UAC for it, i have never had to run it as admin

I noticed on my cab, if I didn't run it with highest privileges from my scheduled task (or via prompt), that it didnt monitor correctly tables launched from pinballx.

Must be my setup, but all working for me
