Thanks for the all hard work on the leaderboard DnaDistuber, and congrats Dave on your cup standing (the only way is down now, we're coming for you!  :P)

A note for PinballX PINemHi Leaderboard users - i've added leaderboard scores into the stats plugin (https://www.gameex.i...istics-display/) so they can be viewed in the front end as well.

Which ROM is supported for Stargate?
I have Stargat5 ROM

I believe stargat5 is supported but can't check at the moment.
Will take a look
All the newest roms of the games supported are in ..but you never know , i might have missed one

Btw You could try another screen number in pinemhi.ini to see if the popups work.
It's not always the same as in the windows screen page.

In fact it is working right no, outside the game LOL, but i cant tyPe a lower case P hehehehe

----------------------------------------------------------------------
22/10/2020, 18:33
detected game with rom description :  Stargate (rev. 5)
matching romname :  stargat5
previous stargat5 score extracted

22/10/2020, 18:41
detected exit from game with rom description :  Stargate (rev. 5)
new stargat5 score extracted
*** previous score is equal to new score ***
*** probably because there was no game played ***
*** it could also be that this rom is not supported (yet) ***
*** this score will not be submitted ***

stargat5.exe reads
NOT SUPPORTED YET BY ONLINE PINEMHI LEADERBOARD

So i guess not this ROM, not sure which one though.

stargat4  shows on the high scores page.  The page for the individual game has a column with the ROM noted. That is where I have typically gone to find the needed ROM.

Cool

What would be needed to support the taito based roms used in many of the south american manufactured tables?

That would take some research whether it is possible and then figure out what data to extract for every rom.
But would they get played a lot as it takes hours to get this done?

Is it something that we could do for you, on a per ROM basis?

What would i need to hunt down the high score memory addresses?

Thanks for the support but that is not necessary.
There are plenty of games that can be added of course, not sure if taito is high on the list of many people.
Would prefer to add some gottlieb in myself...

But who knows when i have time.
Give me some of your wishlist taito games, no promises however

Well, i would probably pick heavy metal, but there are a good number of tables being done from Taito Brasil, and Rowamet etc
that all use similar taito hardware, so i guess if one was figured out, the others would be much easier.

I know how to read the high score, from the heavy metal ROM and a number of the other taito based ROMs, but i do not think it is in a way that would be of use to what you do.

I think it would also work for an old gottlieb rom like close encounters, pretty sure it would, but again i do not think it is in a way that would be of use to you.

Thanks DNA for this awesome program.
Since I have this, I play more and more pinball (and not only keep my cabinet up to date with latest tables.
but .. Why do you make some challenges so hard ?
50+ people don't have a fast reflex anymore and instead of the kiddie challenge, you should also create a senior challenge !

Just kidding mate, but you really made me more addicted to my cabinet now ! Thanks for that
And thanks for all the support you gave !

:drinks:

(and yes .. I need to check the threads more often   )

Sign me up as well for the senior challenge :clnglasses: (I qualify age-wise, just in that age region haha)
Almost had it yesterday...the challenge...9.8M but unfortunately not enough

My scores keep improving on that particular table though....it's just a matter of time.....I hope haha

Been working on the pop-up screens, these are the new features (will put the update in the thread once it is done):

autostart - for those who have a dedicated screen and want to see it constantly on (as soon as you start a game the pop-up will show up)

autorotate - you can let it automatically go through all the pop-ups you selected in pinemhi.ini (also handy for a dedicated screen), you can set a value for the number of seconds in pinemhi.ini

manual offset x and y coordinates (not being centered then though) of the pop-ups

manual offsett x centered - with this you can set a x-start and x-end value and a y position value (the pop-ups will center within the area between x-start  and x-end value)

manual offset y centered - with this you can set a y-start and y-end value and a x position value (the pop-ups will center within the area between y-start  and y-end value)

Some nice features coming up, thanks DNA!  :dblthumb:

At the risk of sounding like another old git, did older versions of tables play a lot easier or something??,  i mean come on, 654.569.964.920 is top of the leaderboard for AFM - even if i had the skills i don't think i could stand up long enough to get to 10% of that score!!

So here's an idea for the wish list - a game of the week challenge, just a straight up top scorer for a table in the week competition. No crazy historical scores allowed!

In some cases, yes

bad physics implementations that later got fixed up and other things

Ever grab an old version of a table, and it plays really slow, kinda making it easy
and then grab a latest revision, and the table is totally different play wise?

ROM is same, but table has changed

Maybe have a yearly high score bracket
And then maybe a historical high score bracket

Yeah, that's what i figured.. even in VPX there was a version of MM that played easier than the latest one (or it seems that way to me anyway). Never played VP9 so no idea how they played.

Sure there are differences with every new table.
Apples and oranges...every table of the same game..

At first everybody had to play the same table to set scores.
But that was a nightmare to maintain, keeping up with new tables....so a few years back i switched to roms

ced, dedrok_v and xio were/are fantastic players and set big scores on nearly every table.
They also set a lot of scores in the database.
Vp9 doesn't automatically mean it was slower and easier...some tables are easier now then before...
Maybe for afm it did...

5minute mode was great to get good competition..
Unfortunately it had to go when i discontinued my own frontend
Maybe i should see if that is possible again

But it's all for fun....cup scores are now only for active players...
You've got the friends list...challenges.....you can always disable the best list..
Lots of games have been added since the reign of ced, dedrok_v and xio....first place should be a breeze at some of those as i suck at it (but still love the games) :)

I can take a look at a weekly challenge...as long as i can automate the whole process
With a key/button press it could come up and have a top 10 (and if you're out of the top 10 , your place and score as well) and the winner of the previous week at the top or bottom
And an own page at the website, with every weekwinner and the list for that week

Would be nice to have more players then though

:drinks:
